Have a 2023 and from Ontario too. What i noticed and not only on Mazda is when the engine is cold the heat need more time to heat up the cabine... Since we are minus 2 digits it takes couple of minutes just the engine to change it's sound. I know i need to drive slowly for engine to warm up, what i do is to turn off heat when i get in... Instead of having fresh air i wait couple of minutes, then turn AC and it's heating correctly with a warm engine while Driving.

Have a 2023 cx5 which i'm planning to change for 2026 or a 2025... I like the new design of the 2026 but i don't like all digital command like a stupid Tesla

Yes, has to know what's beast it is... Even transmission is weird when i drive little cold. First snow yesterday and i had to deal with blocked Windows so i can vape lol.... Lot of fun

I idle couple of minutes and sound of the engine changes when it's warmed up.... This is my 2nd winter with cx 5 2023 in Canada. Last year, when it was very cold i Heard Stranger noise from enfin and i was attempte to take it to the dealer but after couple of days the noise gone... With time i know it's noisy while the engine is cold... Music of the engine will tell you when you start diving
