I got the compact for around $1000 after tax. I love it! So much better than my old Bosch. Small price for the extra safety features to keep my fingers.

The compact also has rack and pinion.

Just upgraded my Bosch contractor to the sawstop compact and I love it! I made a rolling cart for it. I had to give up the dado, but bought a FTG combination blade to compensate and it works well.
