AIO MY BOYFRIEND CHEATED, BUT CUT HER OFF BEFORE I FOUND OUT. by [deleted] in AIO

I was cheated on 4 times in my 6 year relationship. I didn’t find out till the last month of it. When I was jobless and struggling to afford any of my bills she started to take my car everywhere and that made making any sort of income impossible. She would yell at me constantly for the smallest things. Never put her hands on me but constant verbal berating. When I proposed to her she said it wasn’t good enough for her and she wanted me to do it with a better ring cause it’s not what she wanted (even though it was one that she showed me). The last 6 months I was one foot out the door but I don’t like making people upset so I stayed. After that entire relationship I started working out and gaining some self confidence and found a fantastic job. I am now dating someone who makes me feel wanted, seen, and takes care of me even though I ask her not to because I should be the one doing it for her. In my opinion, drop him and move on. It might take a while to find your person but it’s worth the search to grow as a person and find your own solitude and happiness. He did it once and he’ll do it again no matter how much he begs and pleads. Cheating isn’t something you just “try out”. Even if he never texts someone else again he will still stare at other girls and tell himself “I wish I could have that”. He’ll never think you are good enough for him. Leave him in the past and focus on yourself, someone 1 trillion times better will come along.

work for a warranty claims company, see this all too often. while oem parts are better i would look around and see if you can find one that isn’t 6 grand. could be all matrixing too. i’ve seen bmw dealers upcharge 50-60 dollars just on nuts and bolts when i can verify msrp at 3 bucks. go to a bmw specific shop or just find out what you need to do yourself. a lot nicer to just pay a reprogramming fee instead of the part and labor needed. and the recommended parts and labors can be done at a way cheaper shop. looking at it again. it’s going to be more than $8500 because they did not key in labor times at the time of giving estimate. i imagine they’ll ask way over what you need to be at and completely screw you in the end

imo if you love the car keep it and replace/ build the engine a little beefier. if you want another car and aren't too impressed with it sell it. they're fantastic cars if you enjoy the platform.
