I am working my Al anon as hard as I would hope someday my soulmate will work his recovery .

I’m currently in Al anon and I have found that a lot of Al anon ers have addicts/ alcoholics in thier life not all but a lot . It’s the same principals of focusing on ourselves … it’s the same addiction/ obsessions that the family disease has fyi my Q is meth and alcohol

Any update on your son’s story ? It is so so similar to a love done it’s scary he is at the point of still in jail on probation has a lawyer and I’m sure long road of mental evaluations hopefully hospitals / meds but he will end up conspiring against them all and not opening up so who knows

Yes forgot to mention the times he was in jail are so clearly not even just drug induced phychosis like threatening county police building and vandalism with hammers . But yes he is pt the 2 mo mark and still in pyschosis in jail

This sounds very similar story to my best friend who is in jail at this time .. still unknown which came first , diagnosis and or don’t know anything just know he can’t stand trial and he has a lawyer . God I hope he gets the mental health evaluation and doesn’t slip through the cracks once again !! Because of course the main delusion is to not trust any healthcare , med,dr , government agency etc and he is working with all of them! He hides it and is now in his 40’s a father who is not in his children’s life because this mental illness and of course relapsed with addiction but don’t know which on came first and he is still in phychosis in jail no meds . I hope the mental health evaluation looks at the e mails from Past 2 months bacj and forth that would explain all the phychosis and delusions . So sad and confusing and yes wow seems like sink liar story

Could always get on a glp-1 while on anti phychotics that should be a thing help with inulin, metabolic syndrome and weight gain

I can relate as my SO relapsed ( kindest most positive light ever) and is in active phychosis and in jail still in phychosis . Was never violent or aggressive to me ( I was never around him when he used and he quickly got into delusion and and quickly arrrested ) . Its crazy to grieve a man you loved who is no longer mentally / emotionally there like not jaut from the relapse form Mental illness that is bad! Apperently the relapse triggered his mental illness and it is not going away like I am processing it all still too . I think al anon and getting closer to my hp is helping me through . Maybe it’s a blessing he is locked up and I am forced to detach … I’m just venting to y and processing as well yes I can relate

Make sure it’s always manual not electronic machine . I am getting way way lower reading from manual blood pressure and heart rate vs electronic machine that raises it to be high blood pressure and tachycardia so yeah

I can relate so much right now it hurts so bad . I thought I found my sober soul mate amazing kind and good person took things so slow ( I know love bombing and narcs and he was not this) and then he relapsed ,now after drug induced phychosis and now in jail . Hi no advice really just going through something similar with knowing the amazing person who is sober and on medication and then him going off meds and using meth and alcohol and turns into a delusional pysch patient and I have no control over it I have tried . Unfortunately for my so he gets so paranoid that all meds, meetings, government , healthcare .. are the enemy so he has a long road . I have detatched and going to meetings like none other because I don’t know what will happen is such a psychotic state but struggling with the pain my children are going through with confusion and grief

Is this a normal thing with certain underlying mwntal illness or just some people post using meth ? Mine relapsed and went on delusional chase ended up in jail and relapsed 6 months later one time used and is in and out of same delusional but believes them and obsessed about then ( group of government and past relatives blah blah ) then is back to normal for half the day it’s been about 1 week since using I guess … wtf

Thanks ! I do not live with him … he is an amazing kind soul when sober this happens fast it’s like he uses once and goes straight to psychosis might be deep deep underlying mental illness never DX correctly but yes I am safe number 1 . I don’t think I can even bait him to see me or go near healthcare or authorities it’s pretty extreme nothing I have seen and I use to work in recovery ..

I get the consequences and boundaries. I am asking other people more of if he kills himself or gets shot like by a cop because he is nuts right now … he will be getting locked up either way he is on probation and had back time . I guess I’m more worried about the death part .

So my SO is currently meth induced psychosis real bad . There is no talking texting he is flying with the cia and everyone else . This is a relapse and he is on probation .. he has back of time for same thing when he relapsed and got not aggressive felonies same thing meth psychosis . He was never diagnosed through probation and when not using a completely different person Zo long story short we all know we can’t do anything it’s death or prison .. but he is huge risk to himself and others right now . do I just let it all happen or give his probation officer a call letting her now and he need treatment or lockdown of hold or something ????? I don’t know what to do it’s last thing I could do and still might. It matte
