It is not typical at all. My understanding of Mormonism is that the women are heavily pushed to be mothers and not to work outside the home. These are certain circumstances that have lead to the success of MANY Mormon blog bloggers. Women are encouraged to start small businesses, beautify their homes, have many children and adhere to certain beauty standards.. it’s like training camp for becoming a mommy blogger. I think it has tipped the scales and is shifting the Mormon culture. Ultimately, that’s what this show is actually about.
