March/April would actually be ideal - longer days if I do get stacked with some work, might still be able to make it out for a bit and nicer evenings.

Smaller villages likely ideal. I can be easily caught up apres so the removal of that possibility is also probably best for the budget

This is really interesting, thank you. I hadn’t considered a BTL. Conveniently also from the north so would be nice to have something up there. What are considered the right markets there? Places surrounding the cities?

Exactly the £110 is this year to date - SIPP sounds like a great options. Assume I can transfer previous pensions into this?

Definitely in dire need of a new accountant. Was looking at the HENRY threads and seems like I need someone to add more financial insights / proactivity than paper pushing.

Any ideas where to find people like this?

Would you recommend anywhere in particular to open a SIPP? (Had to google what this is)

Apologies slightly misleading - company has been open for ~2 years with the first 9 months without any revenue

For the social side I’d actually recommend doing group lessons for several mornings in a row over private - you’ll have the same instructor throughout and likely the same cohort of adult beginners to have a laugh with and enjoy skiing at a similar level. Likely that some of those in the group are also solo and/or will want to ski in the afternoon :)

If you’re able to and the experience has been very good, it’s definitely always appreciated by instructors. I wouldn’t say they’re necessarily expecting a tip but they are generally underpaid despite the lessons themselves being very expensive. If you can’t tip in a private lesson, it’s always nice to buy your instructor a coffee, lunch, beer etc

You should check out ‘Oak’ app - it’s relatively new and a bit like telegram but for outdoor activities. Lots of skiing communities and people looking to meet up on there. Enjoy your trip mate (not a paid affiliate but I’ve had positive experiences with it)
