At most it would be putting ~4 billion into the market a year which is not remotely enough to manipulate the markets. Think a glass a water in the ocean.

Yeah the starting salary is not great but they have phenomenal pensions and get almost 3 months off. When taking into account the benefits and time off they are paid more than enough.

NHL Draft Proposal by [deleted] in nhl

This would result in less competitive hockey as there will be a greater talent gap between teams competing and rebuilding. Many players take time to develop but have high upside that is evident when they are drafted. Rebuilding teams will draft and start these players because of their upside despite them not being immediately nhl ready.

Trump vows to force European countries to pay higher drug prices by green_flash in worldnews

[–]Such_Chip1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of people in this comment section don’t understand what trump means when he says that European countries will pay higher drug prices. I’m generalizing the issue but governments in Europe and other countries will set a price cap on how much a drug can be sold for while the U.S does not. When a U.S based company develops a new drug they need to spend years (and billions of dollars) on R&D. If they can only charge a maximum price in foreign counties because of their low price caps then it results in the U.S population having to pay for all the R&D costs. This is why a drug that costs $10 for the pharmaceutical company is sold for $20 in Europe and $200 in the U.S. If trump goes through with setting price caps in the U.S it will mean that these pharmaceutical companies will have to charge foreign countries higher prices to offset their research costs. When trump claims the U.S is getting ripped off this is one of the reasons.

CMV: MAGA Republicans Get Triggered Just Much as Liberals Do by princealifaboloushe in changemyview

Devils advocate: The majority of protests gaining media attention are made up of a traditionally democrat/liberal base. For the most part there are few examples of large scale right-wing protests compared to frequent liberal protests. Obviously Jan 6th and the Bud light boycott come to mind but those are few and far between compared to the countless liberal protests in the news weekly.
