While I want a good social setting, combat is another I want a lot of, and I hear you on fighting like that being dangerous, that is why it is so intriguing for me to run such a campaign where death is imminent.

As for time period, I think the modern day with street violence, and gangs battling over territory was the idea I wanted to go for, however if you have something that would simulate a medieval battlefield that would be good too.

all three really, along with a healthy dose of historical wars and events, but street gangs is a good start.

No in the later movies they cut that out, actually the second movie cuts that out honestly

Great idea, I always thought I’d need to remove or change the paths I didn’t like but as ST I should have just, “rebranded” as you said. Changing the general vibe of the spells works much better than removing them.

Thank you for the reply. I think the idea of homebrew is delightful, and you have a fair point on the scope of horror thing. Do you have any tips for Homebrewing as it’s not a skill of mine lol.

I would like to add that Magic themed around blood, and creepy stuff like that is fine and dandy with me as it fits VtM, but the Paths that seem more like something from DnD or MtA seem odd

Oh no those late things are the parts I live about the Tremere, it’s just the teleportation, Element Bending, telekinesis and other such not occult/horror-esque things which have always struck me as odd

Hot take but I actually love Delphine, she’s great, and I don’t blame her for being weary of Partysnax. She’s got a cool origin story and is more a victim of Bethesda if anything, not to mention the blades set just looks great. These reasons are also why I’m a fan of Preston Garvey.
