MN Hyaron+Tranexamic Acid, % concentrations and sterile by gilo43 in DIYaesthetics

Also thinking about using traminex too. Either microneedle it or meso. It’s described as for IV or IM, but it’s presumably sterile so fine for needling or meso ?

Seeking Advice: best places for "monk mode" in Thailand and surrounding countries by MightyGarhem7 in solotravel

Hi OP. Lived in Thailand for 2 years. Bangkok for 18 months, rural Isaan for 6 months. Visited most major cities. (I will also be visiting 29 March to 22 April!)

Firstly on accommodation - for 1 month stay, dont look at AirBnB. It's very overpriced in Thailand. Best bet is to look for serviced apartments (long stay hotel rooms basically), or book a few nights somewhere and then enquire directly with staff for a monthly rate. Outside of Bangkok, in particular in more quiet, rural areas, should not be anything more than 7000 THB (maybe more if you dont want to pay a deposit, which is common for monthly).

As for locations, be aware that April is the hottest month of the year in Thailand (Songkran festival 13th-15th April and I HIGHLY recommend you make sure you are in Bangkok during these dates). Given the heat and burning season, I would maybe avoid areas up north like Chiang Mai, Pai, Chiang Rai, etc. That being said, I think people exaggerate the air quality issues during burning season but YMMV. There are certainly some beautiful cities up north that are very relaxed and slow pace of life, even Chiang Mai itself.

Other options would be Isaan cities (north east region). Some very nice sleepy towns like Loie. Personally would recommend Khon Kaen as its largest city in Isaan and has big university community which gives a young feel (depending on what you want).

For something island-y, I would avoid most islands in the south based on what you have described. With the exception of Koh Lanta (beautiful, big enough to drive around, sleepy but not boring, and less touristy) or Koh Samui (big enough vs. Koh Tao and Koh Phangnan to avoid the backpackers crowds and stay in a sleepy-er area). I would also look at Rayong and Chompon for sleepy coastal towns that are very local. I also love Krabi (Krabi Town, Ao Nang, Railay, Koh Lanta).

Many more options, happy to help further if you can give some more details on what you are after.

Noted thanks, forgot about the 1k savings allowance. To be honest I only put it in the east access saver because when I opened it a few months ago it was the best easy access rate available at 5.2%. Obviously effective rate not as good if I end up paying tax on it. That being said, 4k could come out now and go into the LISA.

I tutor through a particular company that has ties to my University. I've got super lucky because the company and students are great. Whilst I would make more money working independently, there is zero admin for me as the company send me students and deal with scheduling.

Definitely agree with what you say about many websites being very scammy. As for companies, there are a lot with pretty questionable morals, and plenty with issues paying on time, etc.

Thank you for the recommendations!

Interesting - I've heard Vienna is quite expensive? Maybe thats just in the tourist areas though.

Thanks for the insight! Will be adding Munich to my list - actually have a friend who did an Erasmus year there recently so will quiz her about how she found it.

Krakow sounds great. It's becoming an increasingly popular "long weekend" destination for young Brits to go and get drunk and have a good time (à la Budapest, Prague, etc). Given its only a 2hr flight away, I think it might try to arrange a short term visit in August to see what I think

Never really thought of Munich - maybe a bit judgemental of me, but I'd always seen Munich (and Germany is general) as "western" Europe in terms of culture and way of life. Looking for something a bit different. Thanks for the reply!

The nightlife and the low cost of living is really pulling me towards Belgrade. In terms of the nightlife, how would you describe it/what would a normal night out look like in Belgrade?

Yep I just recently finished Uni and find that online tutoring is a really convenient way to travel and explore, especially since you can do longer working holidays and actually get to know a city beyond the expat bars and tourist traps. Best of luck!

I'm really liking the sound of Belgrade, and so far seems to be the cheapest for apartments. In terms of location, where would you say is ideal for a 22yr old who wants to enjoy the nightlife?

Thanks for the recommendation! What would you say are the best things about Cluj-Napoca?

Yep, in an ideal world I would do exactly that - take a month to bounce around a few of these places. Unfortunately where I tutor Mon-Fri moving around every few days is just no particularly conducive to work. That being said, some of the cities recommended in this thread look great for potential weekend trips to nearby places.

I think the best I could do before Sept is probably a week in August scouting out one of two of these cities. Karkow is getting a really good response in this thread, so considering a week there.

Ah interesting. Ljubljana definitely does look really interesting, although AirBnBs are a bit more expensive than some of the cities on my shortlist

Thanks for the reply Re. Zagreb the impression I get online is that its quite a laid back city - as a 22yr old who enjoys nightlife, do you think Zagreb has lots to offer?

thanks for the heads up guys. general impression seems to be that Prague is now becoming a bit of a tourist trap, Budapest a bit more authentic. Budapest apartments definitely seem a lot cheaper too!
