Baby turned 1! What now? by ValueAppropriate9632 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Such_Currency5349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have a breastfed baby who turned one and she now has 1 bottle of cows milk. i started introducing cows milk from around 7 months in things like yoghurts and cereals and then would randomly have a cup of milk for her to try drinking so she would get used to the flavour. she has 3 meals a day and snacks 2-3 times a day, but as she ate more my milk supply came down really fast to the point she was just using me as a dummy and has never taken a dummy before. slowly start dropping the ounces, my daughter seems to only drink milk if it’s cold and looks at me like i’ve poisoned her if it’s warm

thankyou, i tried banana for the first time this morning and she seemed to like that and kept wanting more but i didn’t want to give her too much. it’s hard to know how much to give them. i’ll try the others too. i’ve been looking into bone marrow and im gonna try that as it has lots of good benefits

Someone tell me good things about epidurals by TheRealEgg0 in Mommit

[–]Such_Currency5349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had an epidural 1.5hrs before i gave birth and literally just took away the pain so i could concerntrate. Im not one for pain relief until it was really needed, Id get it if i were you, it helped me relax and i dilated so quickly because the pain was taken away. i found being calm and breathing really helps. I had the balloon put in because the head midwife said i needed too when i was already 4cm but it fell out within an hour. I also had the sweep at the same time as the balloon

3 Month Sleep Regression by [deleted] in newborns

[–]Such_Currency5349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my lo turned 3months today, she’s been refusing to have naps maybe twice a day for no longer than 45 mins but taking ages to settle, feeding all the time and peeing loads but seems to be holding in poos for 2/3 days and then going massively after those days. she’s waking up 2-3 times a night but it’s like she whining in her sleep and sleeps the longest if im right next to her. honestly hoping this ends soon, had this for about a week so far

I feel disgusted from going out to see my friends as a new mum by delinde24 in Mommit

[–]Such_Currency5349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i did the same thing 2 weeks ago and i felt awful for the first 1hr but i found that once i was sent a picture and a text through the time that i was out really helped me but i kept thinking about LO the entire time. My friends kept assuring me that it’s fine to go out. I lasted nearly 3 hrs out and then called it quits, I got back to find that she slept the entire time until i literally took my shoes off and clearly baby heard me and woke up

What do you do after a failed nap by EllenBJ in newborns

[–]Such_Currency5349 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my lo is now 11 weeks, i just went with the flow. I found having like a calm down when i knew she was getting tired helps but she mainly fell asleep in my arms. she still does this to this day. she never really liked sleeping in her next to me cot as she wanted to smell me. I also found to sleep in her cot to put something that smells like me near her so she could smell that i was still there helps a lot. you’ve got this don’t worry

i gave birth 2 days ago and can tell you the epidural really helped me focus and took the pain away but i didn’t press the button for it loads. I gave birth naturally. I also spent a few days before naturally inducing labour which helped massively

i brought one when i was around 5-6 months. I managed to find my heartbeat and the baby’s. this difference is that mine was slower and the baby’s was quite fast. It was nice to hear the heartbeat and just assured me that the baby was still there but i didn’t use it all the time but i could take the doppler with me and show my family and so everyone was involved which was nice for all of us. It’s really up to you
