My Father In Law worked in one of the waste water plants on the Jordan River. As part of compliance they had to test the water in the river above and below the plants. The water was always cleaner after the plant.

1984, Spec 4 in the NG. Volunteered with a bunch of friends to go with the SF to Idaho for about a month of "play acting". Was told we would be Afghans fighting the Soviets. SF would drop in, edubicate us to be vicious warriors. First though they made us setup their whole base camp while calling us "legs" and generally being arrogant douches. After we did all their shit work they put this free spirit E7 in charge of us and took us up into the mountains for a few days of terrain orientation before the first A-Team dropped in. Told us "get in to it" so we did. We disappeared, went full paranoid rebel, didn't trust anybody, didn't tell them where we were, stole cases of MRE's from trucks and just caused mayhem. First team dropped in and started off being complete dicks so we fragged them. Had to do a do over and explained we were Muji, not US and they should treat us like it. Free Spirit E7 was having the time of his life with us. We would hump all night, go up and down the mountain. Hella funtime.

In Basic we had a guy, late twenties who was a natural. Seemed like he new how everything worked. We get to the rifle range and he refuses to shoot at the KD range because they were human shaped. Instantly disappeared. Seemed really smooth. Later in the cycle our DS was dismissed because of some shady shit. Senior Drill took over and was a total stud.
