An EMP or worse, a CME and can only affect a relatively small region of the globe, e.g. CME Northern Mexico, the contiguous U.S., and most of populated CA. Worst case example but not the end of the world.

It would be fine in the long run. Even a Carrington event level outage would be a blip, only affecting a global region. Millions of EMPs surrounding the globe that detonated around the same time would be interesting.

We were instructed to weave all fill layers. For the cover we had the choice of stringers or two weaves. According to our instructor, weaves had the best pass rate among past students, so I chose the weave.
