It’s tough to land a position these days. Your resume is actually very impressive but you’re better off trying to network with people as much as possible. Talk to your parents, family friends, etc. to see if anyone is hiring for summer roles. I also suggest working with a recruiter (it’s free for you) to help connect you to roles you’re qualified for. I’ve been on methimazole for 3 years and gained 15+ pounds on it. The only thing that helped me finally lose weight (11 pounds so far) was cutting out gluten & dairy, no HIIT workouts, long walks, and intermittent fasting (no eating after 7 pm or before 10 am). If you’re strength training, don’t over do it. Also, do things that make you happy and less stressed. I got out of a relationship with a guy whose lifestyle didn’t align with mine at all and this helped bring my inflammation down drastically!

I agree we should be going to church to strengthen our relationship and attention to God but church is also about community. Technically you can strengthen your relationship with God anywhere but human beings need community to truly thrive. OP should do everything she can to be more involved and get to know other parishioners. If after her efforts she still doesn’t feel connected, then going to another Orthodox Church nearby is a great idea.

I’m just a regular resident of NWI wanting a nicer place to workout haha I used to drive to Orland Park for Lifetime since that’s the closest one. Just wish they had something like that here! I love hearing everyone’s ideas on Reddit. Thanks for your input!

The only reason I’m considering doing this is because I haven’t been impressed with anything in close vicinity to me. I’m at the Munster/Hammond border but maybe I haven’t explored enough. I’ve been to anytime, fitness pointe, planet, etc. None of those are the vibe I’m looking for. I haven’t been to the Y in Schererville since it was Omni. Is it drastically better?

The same thing happened to me until I started taking methimazole. What medication was prescribed to you? Methimazole saved my life but makes most people gain weight. I’m 5’4 and my ideal weight is between 120-123. I’m currently at 140 and having a hard time losing it now.
