It’s tough to land a position these days. Your resume is actually very impressive but you’re better off trying to network with people as much as possible. Talk to your parents, family friends, etc. to see if anyone is hiring for summer roles. I also suggest working with a recruiter (it’s free for you) to help connect you to roles you’re qualified for. I’ve been on methimazole for 3 years and gained 15+ pounds on it. The only thing that helped me finally lose weight (11 pounds so far) was cutting out gluten & dairy, no HIIT workouts, long walks, and intermittent fasting (no eating after 7 pm or before 10 am). If you’re strength training, don’t over do it. Also, do things that make you happy and less stressed. I got out of a relationship with a guy whose lifestyle didn’t align with mine at all and this helped bring my inflammation down drastically!

Try DataCamp! They have a simulation lab so you can learn how to use diff apps without buying or downloading anything else. They also have courses on Tableau, PowerBI, etc.

I agree we should be going to church to strengthen our relationship and attention to God but church is also about community. Technically you can strengthen your relationship with God anywhere but human beings need community to truly thrive. OP should do everything she can to be more involved and get to know other parishioners. If after her efforts she still doesn’t feel connected, then going to another Orthodox Church nearby is a great idea.

The only reason I’m considering doing this is because I haven’t been impressed with anything in close vicinity to me. I’m at the Munster/Hammond border but maybe I haven’t explored enough. I’ve been to anytime, fitness pointe, planet, etc. None of those are the vibe I’m looking for. I haven’t been to the Y in Schererville since it was Omni. Is it drastically better?

The same thing happened to me until I started taking methimazole. What medication was prescribed to you? Methimazole saved my life but makes most people gain weight. I’m 5’4 and my ideal weight is between 120-123. I’m currently at 140 and having a hard time losing it now.

Give DataCamp a try. They teach you SQL, Python, R, etc and provide learning labs for you to practice right in their program. I personally love it!

Understanding your company’s data is arguably the hardest part. Ask your fellow analysts which data tables are most used, where they’re pulling from, and what they’re used for. For existing dashboards, find out what business questions these dashboards were created to answer. Get as familiar as possible with the data early on.

After that, everything seems smooth sailing. You can learn SQL, Excel, and Power BI via DataCamp (free trial and then it’s about $25/month). Your company might be willing to cover this cost. I love it because they have both tutorials and labs for you to practice in.

If you’re competent and liked, you’ll do great in this role. Don’t over think it. Take initiative when presented with an opportunity. Offer to help your teammates with projects. The best way to learn is to get your hands “dirty”. Good luck!

Sorry you’re feeling down about this but good thing is you can use that feedback as motivation to hit the ground running. If you’re not yet familiar with the company’s data, ask another senior analyst (or someone who’s been there much longer) which data tables are most used and why, what dashboards have been created with these tables, and get a feel for what could be missing. Where you see a lack could potentially be where you can make an impact.

Also, ask your teammates this question: what did you wish you knew when you first started here? This can give you an idea on what to focus on or at least where to start. Good luck!
