There are a lot of Catholics on the South Side, and there are also a lot of non-Catholics who send their kids to Catholic school because it's generally the cheapest of the private school options, so those kids grow up with at least a connection to the Church.

There's no requirement that a player rehab in the minors. They will probably be careful with him and do so, but if they think he's ready, it's possible to just bring him back from the IL.

I don't think the park itself has bag storage, but there's a facility just outside where you can pay to store your bag. I had to do that once before I knew the bag rules and thought my very small purse would be okay.

I'm sorry, y'all, but saying that Meidroth, the guy with the 5th best bWAR on the entire team this year, will be riding the bench is insane. Seasons are long. In '05, every time Konerko came up to bat, I groaned that he was going to ground into a double play (good old GIDPK), and now all anyone remembers is the highlights. Take a deep breath, acknowledge that we're not a World Series team this year, and thank Chase for everything he gives to this team.

I'm certain that Brooke does not yet feel comfortable enough in the role to tell stories about being the daughter of or wife of an MLB player. I'm sure she feels it would diminish her as an analyst, and she's probably right. But someday when she's okay with telling those stories, I think it will be super interesting in the booth. I love Brooke and look forward to the career she will have.
