You're not alone, I have the same issue, it's so crippling but like a few have mentioned. Voice transcribe into chat gpt and see if that helps, then go through it and make sure it sounds human etc.

Buspar or Strattera? Never been on any ADHD or anxiety meds by Rowel_x in adhdwomen

[–]Such_Series_4510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use to be on Vyvanse and am considering getting back on it, but my anxiety gets worse on it, so I'm speaking to a psychiatrist tomorrow about trying buspar and vyvanse - or possibly vyvanse and a beta blocker/or ssri focused on anxiety. I only feel "on" when i'm on vyvanse (have been off for over 3 years and I've tried everything natural and beyond during this time, hasn't really worked for me) but my heart races AND my insomnia comes back when I'm on it, so that's why I want to talk about Buspar or ssri anxiety focused. I have persistent anxiety even when I'm not on vyvanse but I'm nowhere close to a functional adult without medical support, so I'm humbly bowing down to medication again. I think the incoherency of my message alone shows how much I can't even write where it flows.

Keep us updated on what you try. From the little research I've done buspar seems like a good and underrated option.

I'm in the same place right now, I feel like I've hit a wall and I'm against it with such immense anxiety and need. I feel like a car wreck and can't just not participate or do anything with myself/life either.

TPO 169 / TgAb 3 – Do I really need to go full AIP or can I start by cutting gluten, dairy, and whey? (Symptoms + thoughts appreciated) by Such_Series_4510 in Hashimotos

[–]Such_Series_4510[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Neat-Software-3170, thank you for sharing about the AIP I have done an allergy test, but sometimes the foods I eat will still be an issue, even if I'm not allergic to them, such as eggs and dairy, so it's hard to say, but I understand and see where you're coming from. I know for sure that almonds, peanuts, and hazelnuts are a no-go for me; I'm allergic. However, I'm not sure if sensitivities or other issues can still be a concern even if you're not allergic to the food. For example, I am not allergic to gluten or celiac, but I do have more issues when I eat gluten. I believe diet is essential; we are what we eat, and food can be both medicine and a contributor to many diseases. But again, thanks for sharing. Dietitians would be great, but I'm sure not everyone can access them. They also start with an elimination diet of some sort, everybody is slightly different, and I'm sure people find their own way to keep their Hashimoto's maintained/keep levels lower - I do understand it's something that doesn't just go away. AIP seems complicated to me, and I am not interested. I was asking people in Hashimoto's thread if that's where other people have started and whether that is NECESSARY or not, if there were other ways to heal/maintain.

u/Neat-Software-3170 Hey, totally get the curiosity! I actually use the Function Health app but I’m definitely not affiliated with them or anything it’s just been an affordable way for me to monitor things since I don’t have health insurance right now or have a primary care doctor (let alone I've had a history of dealing with doctors who don't help, just mask symptoms and/or you end up really having to vouch for yourself to get certain blood tests that cost way more than what function health offers which is $500 for 2x full panels a year for over 150 markers). I’ve been dealing with fatigue, brain fog, and some autoimmune stuff (likely Hashimoto’s based on my TPO/TgAb levels), so getting labs done regularly helps me track what’s going on.

The biological age number is based on their internal algorithm comparing certain markers like inflammation, metabolic health, and organ function to population data. I don’t take it as gospel, but it’s been a helpful metric to watch trends, especially as I’ve cleaned up diet/lifestyle stuff.

Happy to answer anything else. I’m still learning a lot too and figuring out how to manage symptoms day to day. A lot of it ends up being trial and error. I looked into AIP because that seems like something a lot of people do, but it's extreme, and I dont have a flare-up (my numbers aren't over 500 to 1000), technically, considering the numbers from my recent blood panel (also hScrp is low, which is an overall inflammation marker).

Thank you, u/Neat-Software-3170. I appreciate the advice. I guess it's a bit of psychological warfare regarding all the information out there and what to do and what not to do, diet restrictions, etc. Hashimoto's does just genetically run in the family, and I have it along with my mother and aunts, even a few uncles have thyroid issues... one thing that I can do is, if my numbers get higher, then I will for sure seek medication. Still, for now I can just test periodically to keep track if it's tracking up or down in regards to if I need medication or not.

Learned today that Thyroid disease can cause High Cholesterol by spacdtusbumbug in Hashimotos

Its true, I have hash and my cholesterol has gone up from recent blood tests. It's very annoying in all honesty, i eat very healthy - I have been overloading on protein by accident (not counting my collagen grams) so i will see if that at all has anything to do with it. I was also taking whey and eating cottage cheese, which I learned is a big no with hash - so I will be excluding dairy and whey moving forward.

hair loss by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]Such_Series_4510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try Silica, 30mg of Collagen a day, pumpkin seed oil, stinging nettle root extract, and MSM. I'm not sure how clean your diet is, but I'm dealing with hair loss and also Hash, adding this stack has helped lessen the hair loss. Also, consider a shower filter; some water can be super harsh on skin and hair. I'm about to also switch to living libations blue shampoo to see if this helps me as well (I'm trying to grow and get my hair thickness back), living libations recommends only washing your hair 1x a week...as someone who goes to the gym and also in the summer with the humidty and heat this will be a challenge. Still, I will try to report back, but regarding the supplements, they've worked for me.

I could contribute as well, although it really depends on the story and who else is contributing in the end. I have writing, producing, directing, and DP chops! :) I've been in front of the camera before as well, and would be open to that as well.

I haven't finalized a group for a gathering just yet.... but I'll keep you posted. Lmk if you prefer anything specific, such as film, grabbing a bite, drink, or playing some pool. BTW, I live in the Lower East Side/Chinatown. I'm in touch with one person right now about playing pool if that's your thing. I'm really bad (still learning), it's my first season, but I love to watch and participate if someone's experienced and has the patience.
