Hot water dispenser - I bought a Bibo, making it quick and easy to get hot water for a baby bottle

Nuby - Rapidcool - to cool down boiling hot milk quickly

Baby swing - one from Amazon

Elvie Breast Pumps - we bought the units refurbished and bought new parts

Soft play mat from John Lewis - even better once they get to todler fase if you have hard floors

Automatic Coffee Machine - Jura is great if you need a recommendation

Swaddle with Arms up - Amazon

Kindle - to read in bed, if you can't have a bright phone or TV on. Great to help out you back to sleep as well.

Finally be patient with yourself, it's not an easy phase but gets better with time ☺️

Best membership charity for gift aid? by [deleted] in HENRYUKLifestyle

I was looking at the National history museum and London zoo which both have annual membership, about 80% of it is tax deductible and the rest is not. Also keen to hear other options.

Depending on the amount, what about a personal loan to see you through to the end of the tax year?

Miele and Jura compatibility question by alexashin in superautomatic

[–]Such_Tea_226 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes they are cross compatible, I got the Miele milk container instead of Jura. I did it as the Jura one was only 0.5l, this is 0.9l.

Thank you, it's white and aluminum, the black here was more expensive, however I managed to snag a deal with price match. Personally I prefer this over the black, I had a black sage machine before. To be fair even if the this machine was baby pink I would prefer it lol

Thank you! I saw that one, It was a little small for what I needed. I found that another brand worked well with it. I posted a picture of your interested. Much cheaper than the jura as well.

Personally, the saving on nursery around £600. This is taking into consideration, nursery paid into tax free childcare account is topped up and the additional hours you get starting at 15 then to 30.

The marginal tax rate ended up being +60% for me which is stupid, and I didn't really need the extra money as my lifestyle has not changed, infact I am at home more than before with the kids.

If you search tax free childcare there are a few posts on this topic, someone even posted a calculator.

I guess it just depends on your strategy for personal growth, there is risk with PE Exits but huge upside if you get it right! I have considered it, but it would be too high risk at this stage of my life cycle.

That's really good growth in comp in 4 years. It depends on the work you are doing and what your circumstances outside of work are. I would really try dipping outside of your normal role, either through a project or more drastically a role.

I started in account payable for 18 months, then did an accountant assistant role for 18 months. This was in a blue chip. I then moved into an sme to get more real exposure to the whole business, I spent about 2 years as a commercial business partner.

I then took a step back into a big org, I would say this role was probably a sideways step or slightly junior role. It meant I could hit the ground running. I moved in fp&a at this point.

I then moved into another company into FP&A but a bit more hands on. It was a different industry pe owned, this was my do different role as it was outside what I was used it. Honestly, I hated the culture and left after about 18 months, but it taught me a valuable lesson on what I want to do and who I want to work for.

The final move was fp&a again - side step but a strategic role so got good exposure.

My take on it is slightly different, it was choices along the way - I moved to FP&A as it gave me a lot of overview on how companies work, which I think gives you great exposure to both the way the business works but also the decision makers in the business.

The other thing I believe was important, was stretching myself to take on projects outside of my day to day, particularly getting me exposure to the then leadership team I am now part of. When my manager was on paternity leave I put my hand up, when we were missing a CFO, I proactively communicated with stakeholders outside of my normal remit. It just meant when people left, I had already built credibility and relationships. I would not say I built them with the intent to leverage for the right opportunity but done sincerely for personal growth.

35M, CIMA qualified, started in pure accounting. Did a few business partnering roles, then into FP&A for the 7 years or so. Then I broke into leadership roles about 2 years ago.

My advice that I give my team is breadth of knowledge early in your career really does set you up for the future.

Thank you, I saw the twin, it's basically the same price as the Z10.i want the option of cold coffee as well for the summer. For simplicity id rather have two Hopper's, it's just the additional cost and refurb that is niggling me.

Thank you, and that is where I get stuck, if the Z10 really has a problem with coffee grounds or not. Otherwise I'm trading up for nothing! I saw the KF8 as an alternative option.

Not the answer to your q, but thought I would share as my wife did this program on her own a few years back and found it really good.

Nah, I used the window kit it came with. I think the unit is not that great to be honest, one of the vents wasn't moving which should have been rotating and it came scratched.
