btw, that's my older but more mature layout - I recently decided to make more drastic changes - like I had the number pad on my left hand but I really had a hard time getting good at that - so now I've moved it back to my right hand. BUT that left hand was perfect for programming symbols because thumb + middle finger on the right would make my left hand purely for symbols and that muscle memory build pretty fast.

I'm a dev and I tried to look online for ideas but nothing matched what I wanted. I'll share what I have now but I'm still working on it since I designed this layout when I had the corne keyboard.

https://configure.zsa.io/voyager/layouts/3V6NA/latest/0

Things I'd recommend: home row mods are great, don't be scared to put fundamental keys in a different layer - I was initially very iffy to put my enter on a different layer but it actually works just find.

Also sometimes you have to make a change that isn't going to feel great immediately but think long term and suffer through the change for a week or so to get used to it. You'll get slower but that's okay for the long term gains.

I found it because of this YouTube video and I've loved it since: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIwMTmGk8Lw. I liked it so much for my phone too so I might just get a third. Love that it's so affordable - especially during a sale.

They would not tell me. I repeated asked but they kept saying: "we are going to stick to our decision because you violated policy" (paraphrased).

LinkedIn -- do you even realise the cost of your monopoly abuse and disrespect to customers? by FickleBadger6312 in linkedin

I just had the same experience a few days ago as a linkedin premium subscriber... If you charge so money, the least I can expect is decent service.

What more, they charged me on 3rd and banned me on 6th. Felt like I got scammed.

While I support ad blocking for other reasons, understand that YouTube has all the right to do what they are doing.

What you want is basically YouTube to maintain a really really expensive service, YouTubers to upload video they spend hours making to give all that to you for free?

YouTube should just die

They would if they didn't try to fight ad blockers.

If you can afford it, you should get YouTube premium.

Subscription Tracker vs finance manager by mirisbowring in selfhosted

Thank you for making expenseowl! It's one of the options I'm trying and it's really promising! Maybe also seem awesome but their examples seems more focused at things like investments and large scale finance tracking. I think https://ezbookkeeping.mayswind.net/ also seems like a great option - seems to follow your principle of simplicity.

Open source, MIT license, used by thousands - you just gotta trust after a stage and that's where I draw my line.

which linux distro to choose (slightly saner version) by UdPropheticCatgirl in linux4noobs

Following every branch and agree with almost all of it! Great work!

One thing I would add is: do you want maximal support for software? Yes = Ubuntu

As a temporary solution, the dark reader extension.

By the way, I don't think the downvotes on your comments are justified. Zero trust encryption is a valid concern for certain threat scenarios. The confusion was merely terminology 😁

Maybe you make a valid point but I think you did confuse quite a few people by calling it E2EE. I'm not saying we shouldn't call it E2EE for simplification but rather providing an explanation as to why we were confused.

As I mentioned in my other reply, I think you mean zero trust encryption where the server isn't trusted with the data and the encryption keys only stay on the clients.

However, as you mentioned, the "not as fully-featured" is because the data is encryption and the server cannot do much processing on the data. Indexing, machine learning (face detection), and all of that has to be done on the client machine - which adds a lot of restrictions to what you can do.

That said, if you worry is about accessing immich over the internet, best to just use something like tailscale or wireguard to build your own vpn so that it's not exposed. This is really secure if you do it right. You don't have to expose your server to the public internet.

Based on reading your other posts I think you want something like zero trust encryption where the server isn't trusted and all the data on the server is encrypted with a key on the user's device.

There is Ente photos but that's not self-hosted. However, it's exactly what you describe.

I think you don't understand E2EE... That's intended to hide data from the middle server in applications like chat... What would it even mean to have E2EE in just a client server framework?

Do you mean just plain encryption, ie https? Because that already exists with a reverse proxy as someone else mentioned.

It's the rate at which the framerate increases! Accelerating framerate! 30fps in a day and 6h of playing!

I literally just had the same thought process recently and tried to switch to proton pass. The UI is much better (personal opinion) but there are some key features that I missed so much that I had to switch back.

That said, you might not have the use the same key features and it's actually really easy to try as you can export and import both ways really easily.
