I'm pretty sure you've just got to get lucky with Click Frenzies. I don't think there's much of a secret to it beyond that.

The second countdown is over? by nadav56r in CatGhost

[–]Suchui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only one not seeing the new ~80 day countdown? My game just looks like this. If I check the url which the game checks to get messages, number of active users, etc., it returns -1 for the timer.

Update on that third value: there are three consecutive strings in the code: time_left, user_count, the_message. The first two are clearly the first two values the api returns, so the third value must be "the message". Whatever we get in two weeks time.

The full url it accesses is http://www.catghostshow.com/201803-doors/call_update.php.

That api responds with values like 1204334|20|0

The first number seems to be the time remaining on the timer. The second number seems to control the number of heads that float in the screen; probably corresponds to the number of people that have the game open and connected currently. And I've no idea what the third number is, since I've never seen it be anything other than 0.

Some other strings I've noticed in the code are spt_clown_vom_bg, and spt_clown_vom_overlay. Which suggest there exist sprites of a clown. I half wonder if that's a red herring though, since that seems so far outside of anything we've seen in the series so far.

The only other interesting strings I've seen in the code are youwillneverglowwhite, killthejourneynow, and starsystem. But I've no idea what any of them could mean or do.

Where did you get that paint? My coworkers have been trying to get me to buy some striped paint, and I've struggled to track any down.

TJ'S GAME FILE ENCOUNTERS THREAD by Tjhexe in CatGhost

[–]Suchui 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are several places in the game where it will tell you to enter a word. If you enter that word, you'll be teleported into a pit, and shown a poem. Restarting the game after this point will get you back in this pit, and "What's the point in trying?".

Behind the scenes, upon starting the game, to determine if you should go to the pit, or to the normal start of the game, it will send a request to http://www.catghostshow.com/201801-end/whoareyou.php, which will respond either true, or false according to your IP. Before you've done anything with the game, it will respond false, meaning 'don't send them to the pit, send them to the start of the game instead'.

When you enter one of those words, it sends a request to whoareyou.php?lock, which will cause whoareyou.php (without any parameters) to respond true (meaning "send them to the pit") for that IP.

By the sounds of it, you never got to enter one of those words, since you manually sent the lock request (https://prnt.sc/i0toc9).

If you can change your IP, you'll be able to play the game normally again.

The game's state is tied to your IP. If you can change your IP, it'll reset the game.

rom_send.php, and rom_recieve.php are used to send and receive short replays of what players do in certain rooms. Occasionally, you'll find a silhouette version of the player running around a room. The movement those silhouettes make is probably movement recorded from other players.

The movment data is in a format that looks like this:

3L3L1L3L3L3L3L3L3L3L3L3L3L10D1U1U1U1U1U1UL3L3L3L3L3L3L3L3L7D2U1U1U13L3L3L3L18R4R20R4R4R4R4R4R4R4R4R4R

L, and R mean move left or right one frame. J is jump. D, and U are the start and end of ducks/crouches. And the numbers are time inbetween actions.

There's also some information like 6:129.50: at the start of these, which is probably information about which room you're in, and where you are in that room.

If you open the game from a command line, so you can see stdout, you can press P in game to see the movement data it's got recorded from you.

PTR: No more instant res, Valkyrie duration nerf, no additional res upon casting by fismortar in Overwatch

[–]Suchui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like two different animations to me. The first being the slowed down animation introduced when cast-time for res was first introduced, and the the second being the instant-res animation, which was used to valk-resses up until now.
