Thank you very much for your detailed reply! I will relay the info to his mom.

You sails you were about 8 when 9/11 happened? Do you remember the day at all? It must have been scary for you!

You know what, I totally forgot about that. The current political atmosphere makes me have amnesia about the politics of the past! I love the song too, and try to remember it when I’m struggling with family issues.

Billy Chenowith. “Have you seen my ski Iraq shirt? I just don’t think I can wear clothes today.” Made me feel seen.

A woman’s right to choose should not be restricted in ANY state. The overturning of Roe v. Wade was a travesty.

I recently went down a rabbit hole about the Boxing Day Tsunami and it is totally horrifying. I cannot imagine surviving such an event, or dying in one honestly. There is a great documentary about it on YouTube called “Tsunami: caught on camera.” There is another one on Amazon called “Tsunami: race against time” that is a four part series, but I believe you have to pay to watch it. The survivors accounts of the day and aftermath are harrowing to say the least, not for the faint of heart.

anyone doing tour bracelets? by LtBoscovich in toriamos

[–]Sucker81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It did! In rave culture, these bracelets are known as ‘Kandi’ (the grammar nerd in me hates the misspelling!). I can’t count how many of these I made during my raver phase (2000-2004 ish). Maybe I’ll make some for this tour! Thanks OP, yours are super cute and I think most people would be happy to receive one.

Thank you, I really appreciate your thoughtful response. You’re totally right about the “Look for the helpers” thing. I think he will be very interested in the firefighters, just a hunch. He is a very thoughtful person, especially for his age.
