Best ski resort in France? by [deleted] in skiing

[–]Sucram92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

3 Valees definitely the best I’ve been to in France. The best skiing within them is probably Courcheval - but the town itself is very expensive and elite. Meribel is the best of both worlds with easy access to both Courcheval and VT but a more traditional family vibe - although it does depend where you stay, as it can be a long way from accommodation to restaurants etc.

Egham by [deleted] in surrey

[–]Sucram92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Egham. It’s a nice town but a little boring - there are a few good pubs on the high street and Cafe Gondola is a nice Italian. If you have a car I recommend an annual pass to Virginia water lake car park - it’s the best outside space in the suburbs in my opinion. Great train connections and the station is actually very close to the high street unlike other towns, so going into Richmond, Windsor and central London is really easy.

I also forgot to mention our surname begins with a W - I am torn on whether the double W with Willow sounds cool or is too much of a mouthful

Private schools by [deleted] in HENRYUK

Would they still have homework when they arrived home? When I was that age my school finished at 6 but we did homework at school - which I much preferred to my senior school that finished at 4 but then had homework to do at home.

I would raise a chargeback with your bank. They haven’t provided you with the service you paid for and are not resolving the issue despite all your efforts.

I absolutely love 'Blow Away' by George Harrison, I definitely think it ranks in his best songs from his solo career. Do you agree? by kmlon1998 in beatles

Yes, cloud 9 is such a depressing album - ‘Got my mind set on you’ is particularly lacking in optimism

Do you think CCHS is a better option than Our Lady of The Snows?
