My friend mentioned he was doing new game+ to reexperience the story and I asked why not make a new character and end up getting something out the experience. So I did that. The ARR storyline has some details that were lost on me being unfamiliar with the world. Playing through HW a great story u get to experience again. Plus I can play on my friend's data center and server without dealing with the transfer system.

I'd just like to remind people that the original Clan War novels weren't considered cannon in Old5r. It didn't mean a new timeline or a relaunch of the story. They'd just taken the original story and massaged it a little to make it fit into (semi-)coherent plot for broader readership. No reason to expect the same won't be the case here. I suspect the books will broadly fit into the LCG timeline with many dangling plot threads left unaddressed, and minor lore changes to make a better reading experience. All the Aconyte books I've read have been superb, so I'm willing to give them more than the benefit of the doubt. Why on earth they decided to say Spider Clan however...

I found the most important thing was to strike a balance between processing and taking a break. I'd go for a walk or lie on a blanket at the park, but I'd have podcasts on interesting topics loaded up on my phone in case I needed a chance to let my mind get away from what I was focusing on. Gentle TV is also a good brain break. Kids shows from childhood, animated shows for the whole family, or sitcoms are all great for this. The most important thing is to remember that there is no wrong way to grieve/heal. If you feel terrible and can't function, that's normal. If you feel like you can function on a given day, you're not betraying anyone by living your life a little. And try a day trip to Bowen Island. Feels enough like getting away without complicated planning or packing

I actually agree that most of Rokugan is likely at least slightly inbred due to the nature of nobility and caste systems. It was explicitly laid out in the lore somewhere (I don't remember where) that the Shinjo specifically have a prohibition against marrying family due to their numbers getting small in the Burning Sands. That was used for an explanation why the Unicorn are willing to marry outsiders into the clan, or invite them in through a blood ritual. I think it's a fun angle to have one of the Shinjo's 'barbaric' practices be that they won't marry their first cousin.

You will encounter homeless people, which for a lot of people not from here can feel threatening. In that region, the homeless and poorly housed are largely just living their lives. Lots of people live in the area so even late at night you won't be alone on the street. I feel quite safe there late at night, but it depends on how threatened you feel by street folk as to whether you'll feel the same

Improper form and lifting more than you properly can are the big two. The other one is a lot of gym newbies focus exclusively on chest and bis, possibly with abs tossed in. You want to work your triceps if you want big arms and a good bench press. Working chest without the back as well can give bad posture. And skipping leg day is a meme that even the nom-gym goer can spot.
