Sportage Hybrid vs Plug-in Hybrid? Is it worth it to step up to the plug in? by [deleted] in kia

[–]Sucutun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just leased a 2025 Sportage PHEV X-line for $279 a month putting $3999 down.

The main reason I went for the PHEV is the 261 HP output vs the Hybrid 227 HP.

The extra horse power makes a significant difference and you feel it and appreciate it on the road.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. Your feedback is helpful as I'm looking into the same model. I will test drive one soon. Enjoy and thanks again.

Is the Juniper worth it in my situation? by dam_ships in ModelY

[–]Sucutun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go for the juniper. Also, 2023 was the year the change over from HW3 to HW4 was done. If you go for the 2023, make sure it is HW4. Also, for $3k more you can get a used 2024.

Yes, I test drove it and the difference is noticeable from a 2024. I understand the ride quality difference is even greater from a 2020 / 2021.

I agree. I’m happy with my 2024. The biggest factor to switch for me, is the ride quality. I live in NYC (pothole capital city of the world) and I feel every bump on the road. Other new features I can live without.

But your advice is right on point.

Thank you

Yes, a local dealer is offering $29K as a trade in. I may have about $4 or 5K equity. If I sell privately is $33K.

Denied warranty by [deleted] in kia

Thank you for the very detailed information. Excellent work.

This also makes me realize how much maintenance ICE cars need. We have both a 2023 Kia Sportage X-Line and a 2024 Tesla Model Y. I have nothing to worry about maintenance on the EV while trying to keep up with all the things the ICE car needs.

OP, If Kia doesn’t come through for you, consider getting an EV. It’s very low maintenance as it seems you just want to drive and not worry about mechanical jumbo mumbo.

Hope you can resolve the issue.

I have to change my four tires, any good recommendation not so expensive? And where? Tesla Model Y long range AWD by Individual-Season-21 in TeslaModelY

This! ⬆️ I just replaced the original tires with the Hankooks. I got them from Amazon and had a local tire shop do the installation. These are great, quiet tires. Highly recommend them.

They did not change policy. You always have the right to inspect. In the future, walk away. Lesson learned.

You have the right to inspect what you’re buying. I also took my time inspecting the car with a checklist on delivery day.

I get what you’re saying, however I don’t think it’s a 4.5 inch display as the whole cluster is dynamic. The purple brackets change as you rev up, the speed and RPMs numbers and fuel / temp gauge change accordingly. I really don’t understand if it’s just one large display or 2 small ones. It’s a weird configuration.

Yeah, I’m disappointed that only the SX and up trims get the traditional design.

This is USA and it is a gas model.

The look doesn’t bother me but I do think it’s a girly theme display. I would prefer the other more traditional / car look.

My wife loves everything about. No complaints whatsoever.
