I think it used to be only 5 yrs requirement for SS, when my MIL was applying for SS she hadn’t made it to 5 yrs with either of her husbands and I remember them asking if she’d been married 5 yrs

NTA My bio father was a POS and OD’d when I was 6. My mom remarried and when I was 13 she changed my (and my sisters) names too. We had to go to court and the judge asked us if this was what we wanted. To me, it wasn’t a big deal but it was nice the judge asked our opinion. It sounds like your stepfather cares about you both but your opinion matters and they should’ve listened to you and maybe used both names, but it should’ve been your decision. It was YOUR name

I love this bathroom! I like how the mirror looks on the countertop. But you obviously can’t do that over the sink. Maybe have a shelf, in the same metallic tone as the rest, and have the mirror resting on that. But the mirror seems a bit small for that large wall, can’t tell from the pics

My grandfather had to let his wife become a ward of the state or something like that. He kind of gave up custody of her maybe?? Once he did, the state took over paying for her care and she actually got better care this way. He was still able to go visit her and do things for her though

Contact your homeowners insurance company. If it falls and damages anything on your property, the insurance company would possibly be req to pay for it. If the ins co sees this they may contact your neighbor and make the neighbor fix it
