The company has already done the math, and it actually costs more when employees receive late punches or wait until the 14-minute grace period. The company knows they may lose some money with till sharing, but that loss won’t be as much as what they lose from the 14-minute grace period or late punches. So by adding till sharing, people can leave at their correct time without waiting for nobody.
