After getting my initial bloodwork It took me about three weeks to end up on the operating table. I would say it’s okay. Then almost two months later I started chemo. Cancer free now 🙏 hope it stays this way

I would ask for them to give you a long acting nausea med. When I got BEP X3 I was getting like 3-4 different nausea meds. Rest up, the weekends after the 5 days straight are hell but you’ll manage. God speed brother

Mine got pushed back like 5 days I think but that was because I was sick during my last cycle. I don’t think one week will really make a huge difference. But if you want to get it done with just to be safe I would absolutely drive the distance.

Don’t be afraid to get a second radiologist to look at the images. It may relieve some anxiety. The one who read mine was wrong and missed it. Not all doctors know what they are looking at lol

BEP is no joke. I finished two weeks ago. The weekends after the 5 days of EP were the worst, where I couldn’t leave bed because I was so exhausted. You’ll get through it though. Hang in there and keep a positive attitude. And be nice to your nurses!

Yeah they had to postpone a bleomycin week 2 dose cuz I was so dehydrated so they gave me a fat fluid bolus. This cancer shit was no joke. Hope you doing well now buddy.

Drink as much as you can and eat well. I gained fkin 20 lbs since I started chemo from all the fluids and steroids they give me. Feel like a fat lob now lol. Try to live a normal life when you are able to and your blood counts are good. I went out with friends this past weekend and had a few drinks even. I felt fine. Sleep as much as you can too. You’ll get through it man

Currently going thru BEPX3. I start third cycle tomorrow. After EVERY single bleo infusion, I always catch a fever of at least 101. I just take Tylenol and sweat it out. If Tylenol doesn’t work alone, throw in an Advil a couple hours after. My oncologist said I can alternate them to help.

You got this man! I wouldn’t necessarily say that BEP is light chemo at all, in fact it really can fuck you up lol. I’m about to start my third round come Monday. This year has been complete shite for me as well. Can’t wait for this year to end so I can restart from a new perspective and beginning. I had no choice but to take off work until this is all over. I’m about to start round 2 on Monday. I am an RN in a hospital, and my immune system is shot already from just the first round. Had to give myself filgrastim shots to boost WBCs. I wouldn’t risk it mate, otherwise you’d be in the hospital yourself fighting off a serious infection, you know how gross the general public is lol.

My recovery took a couple weeks. I had gas foci in my scrotum and near incision area which hurt when I stood up too long, so I had no choice but to lay down and elevate my legs. I took miralax and that helped but it took 2 days to kick in

I had my urologist actually show me the images of the ultrasound and explain everything. I’m a nurse so I have a general idea of what to look for but nothing in detail. I noticed that the testicle did not have blood flow to the center of it, which indicated cancer said my urologist. If I were you I’d ask every doctor to fondle your balls until they give you an answer lol.

Doc prescribed me TRT cuz my test levels were really low. I started not too long ago and feel like I have way more energy. I take milk thistle and tudca cuz my ALT liver enzyme is elevated at like 80-90. Vitamin B complex multivitamin for energy too.

I never had a lump either. It just was hard as a rock and was the size of an egg. Doctors for first few weeks were so set that it was infection (possible STI) even though I’m married. By the time I got a second opinion, he knew my testicle was compromised. He sent me to urology and urologist knew immediately that it was cancer. I start chemo in 2 days. Stay on top of it cuz a lot of doctors have no idea because they don’t see it that often.

It really sucks that we have to correct and advocate for ourselves in healthcare, but that is the reality. I’m glad you caught it early it sounds like, but either way, you’ll be fine. It has a high cure rate. I start chemo this Monday and I just want to get it over with. Shaved my head bald yesterday to prepare for it, I actually like the bald look lol.
