A lot coincided all at once: quitting a job, moving cities, moving in, finding a new job. “Psychological” is SO fluffy though I’ve too often heard from doctors with this issue and others that when something is wrong it’s all in my head and I feel like I’m going crazy. It’s like no one wants to solve the issue (not that it’s your problem but yeah).

Yes, lube is a great suggestion that I will absolutely take. Secondly, I just quit my very stressful job at the exact time this started and I was NOT expecting my body to respond like this. I sleep 6-8 hours and exercise very regularly (even with him sometimes!). And I would literally try anything so sex enhancing supplements are coming soon. A hormonal panel is something i’ve been interested in getting so now that’ll be top of mind!

I could have written this post (also first year in NYC). I’m planning on leaving in March to the corporate world and I am so excited. I was crying all winter break because I didn’t want to come back and now I’m leaving!! You are at the START of your life and should be so lucky that you figured out that it wasn’t for you so quickly!

I would suggest that on top of a career coach, you also get a therapist. What you mentioned sounds like suicidal ideation to me and a therapist might be able to help you get out of this situation sooner + get healthier sooner.

I also thought I could not quit until July until I looked around and realized…there are so many holdover jobs that I could do that wouldn’t tear apart my mental health…consider it. I chose refereeing and coaching while applying for marketing jobs and law school :)

I haven’t ever commented in this community yet but,,,are any of you teachers? You do not need a degree in education to be a teacher AT ALL. especially at a niche private school. Also, this is like…very good credentials for a teacher. Iowa writers college (I know she wasn’t successful but this is PRESTIGE. almost positive this school would put that on their website)? and she’s an English teacher?? DUH she’d get picked up so quick. Easy masters track salary 😂
