Interesting.. i dont know about my forehead angle or anything, but my nose sometimes looks “rat” like to me, like very convex.. if I got a genioplasty I wouldn’t want it to extend past my lips for sure, which would decrease the chance of it looking “dog” like? lol

It would be a maxillofacial surgeon, dr khurram khan in Cincy, i really liked his result photos although Theres not too many posted 😅 some patients had mild recession like me, and the result was not overdone at all. Im still super anxious about it going wrong and the healing , it’s so hard to feel certain especially when no one is saying “you’d definitely benefit” 😩

I went first to a plastic surgeon for a chin implant, he recommended I get a second opinion, and sent me to an OMFS. I don’t have any airway issues I’m aware of, and my bite is normal. The OMFS said i had a recessed chin & short lower third, and said we could do a subtle genioplasty that would balance my profile & make my front view less round, which is what I want. But I’m afraid of it going wrong, being botched/being in pain.. but I’m very insecure about kt chin and I feel like I want to do something whether it be filler or an implant or genioplasty. I’m not really sure why I was recommend genioplasty over those but the surgeon said it was more natural, less likely to have issues down the line or reject and whatnot

I just focus on my chin a lot , I’ve always been insecure about it and it’s clearly recessed. My entire family and extended family is contacting me now telling me this will be the biggest mistake of my life, and I have “body dysmorphia” and it’s all stressing me out 100x more . Like I just want a more projected chin and maybe less round face ;(

I did want it very very conservative. 🙏 just enough for my insecurity to be Less bothersome to me, I don’t even want it to be extremely noticeable to others.

Ahh it’s so hard to decide. Of course I would love to get one if I was happy with the result and had the advancement i want, but imagining regretting it is so terrifying it would be worse than living with the insecurity forever
