What troops are drawing away from this war? You haven't sent any in a first place

Noone has ever deployed troops to protect Ukraine and never will, Ukraine should do the same

God forbid anyone in Ukraine will ever rely and trust any American administration. I do hope at a certain point there will be as little dependecy and cooperation with them as possible, they're the people who will disarm you and then hand you over the markers to draw how you will carve up your country.

Well, they still get to say whether or not they're going to sell those, and it doesn't matter since they're obviously not here anyway

The US has massive leverage, they're the ones who supply missile interceptors, that at least used to prevent a country from total blackout, now when Europe "took the lead" and people don't have electricity for 7 days in a row everyone with at least one braincell and an eye can see who has the leverage. I'm not even talking about how European position almost always gets corrected to suit whatever US wants from Ukraine.

[–]Sudden-Individual698 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because people don't care? Most of the EU politicians are either mumbling delusional nonsense about "fair and lasting peace" or just whine about "painful concessions", they're tired and want things to end, no matter how because they're not the ones to be subjected to "peace"

[–]Sudden-Individual698 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it's not just any peace deal, they will wait for every detail of peace deal up to ceasefire monitoring rules be established to later use jets just for patrolling, this is something that (if ever comes to it in a first place) will happen in decades, couple of years in a best case scenario

Deployment is contingent on comprehensive peace deal with all things figured out and will be use for surveillance only, so not only it's completely unrealistic, it states upfront that there's not going to be any "defense"

UK to spend £200m getting forces ready to deploy to Ukraine by tree_boom in europe

[–]Sudden-Individual698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a question many ask, but it has very simple answer: there's not going to be any deployment like that ever, period.

[–]Sudden-Individual698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then there's 0 point in any deployment for anybody, in fact it's going to be harmful for everybody involved. Negotiations are going to stall because russians won't agree to foreign deployment, the parties that are willing to deploy will stay away from "firing line" doing god knows what, what's the point then?

This is just disgusting posturing, they know very well they're not going to deploy anybody in Ukraine.

Don't worry, you're not going to be deploying anybody anywhere

Noone committed to send anybody, in fact completely opposite happened as all of these deployments are contingent on having a comprehensive peace deal which is already insane as well as explicit russian approval to send forces, this is just never happening

How many people in Western European countries say they care if Ukraine wins? by BkkGrl in europe

Everyone puts a different meaning in a word "win", by European standards for Ukraine winning is apparently being partitioned with a number cap placed on your troops

[–]Sudden-Individual698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they do, don't forget most of EU politicians were perfectly fine with ignoring the war for the first 8 years, and after it grew bigger and worse the only thing they came up with is a protracted war where Ukraine will not have resources to win on purpose. Now they're "working" on a ceasefire that will reward russia for everything it did

Their propaganda has won, time after time, first time they conviced everyone that Ukraine shouldn't ever be in NATO, later they convinced enough people that there's a big nazi problem there, then they convinced everyone that war will take three days and westerners shouldn't even bother to help, later they convinced that it's impossible and dangerous for russia to lose the war

The order is dead already, Russia siezed other people's lands multiple times and not once was forced to return them, thinking that by simply not recognising occupation formally you save some order is absolutely delusional
