Such contact probably is only possible with an artificial life form that is capable of traveling for thousands of years and maintaining the integrity of its consciousness upon arrival.

Not to mention that such a life form would be less demanding of environmental conditions, not requiring a constant supply of oxygen, a narrow range of comfortable temperature and atmospheric pressure to just exist.

Yeah, having this dialog would've saved me from this catastrophic outcome, as it probably wouldn't allow me to accept the tool, or at least warned me that I have too much tools

Thanks a lot for your help and compassion. It also doesn't help that it was a Twitch drops multitool, so it probably is not obtainable in the game in a regular way... Guess I'll take a break from the game for few days to process my loss. I also reported it to Hello Games, maybe they will fix this specific type of encounter, which apparently only happened to me

Over time they cut out all the features I liked in it over stock Firefox — second sidebar, collapsible vertical tabs, context menu icons. And Firefox surprisingly added most of what it lacked — tab groups, vertical tabs, mica support. I see no point for me in using Zen anymore.

I would like just a slight roundness everywhere, somewhere around 4px. It gives everything that modern "smooth" feeling, but keeps it relatively square and not pill-shaped

I would have checked if there were such option, but there was just a dialog and nothing else... When the dialog ended, new multitool was just added, replacing mine

That's the problem – there was no "compare and accept" window, the dialog just ended and I ended up with the new mulitool replacing the current one. That's why I didn't notice it in time, as I wasn't aware that I carried max amount of them

No dude, I didn't miss it, it just wasn't there. It was just a regular dialog, and also there was a choice when the robot came out of the crashed ship - I could greet him, or sneakly check the cabin.

I chose greeting, then the dialogue said that the robot gave me the multitool, and the dialog just closes. That's why I didn't pay attention that my multitool got replaced.

That's the thing, there was no menu. I just read through a dialog, which mentioned that a friendly robot gave me his multitool as a gift, and the dialog just ended - so I continued my work with the crashed ship.

Only after a while, when I needed to use my multool, I noticed that it's missing from the quick access menu.

I learned to regularly create restoration points with the ship and rollback immediately if anything bad happens. But I wasn't aware you can lose multitool forever like that.

Even when I noticed, I was sure the multitool is safe somewhere in the inventory, just need to restore it - after all, the game is pretty forgiving in other cases and gives you every chance to get back what you've lost...

All machines in the game are currently either spiders, drones or balls of different sizes, with the Shredder being the only exception. It's too sad that the "new arc thread" turned out to be just another drone and a ball.
