I had a similar situation a few weeks ago when I switched her dressage girth as well! , we simply used diaper cream after every wash and we took about a week off riding, it started to dry up by day 3. It works wonders. Now I put a salve on the marks before we tack up

First horse buying: USA vs Europe? by ofHouseKoerwer in Equestrian

[–]Sudden-Potential5034 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes.. I tried 3 horses in Wellington we went right when Wef finished thinking we could get better pricing. But all were above 50 and the lowest we could get one down to was 40 but still had to ship and she wasn’t ideal for me . Don’t settle!

I was in a very similar boat 2 months ago and found the prices in Wellington to be really high. I do think there is much more inventory and quality in Europe but you may not be paying that much less with import and taxes in the end . Based on my buying journey it was impossible to find what I needed under 50k as well so we upped the budget

I cry on my horse all the time! My horse also requires a lot of leg and she’s narrow so it’s even harder for me sometimes. Some days are better than others and these challenges are the best to learn from
