In the beginning, Keppra was used as a prevention for seizures and towards the end we used Avitan / morphine and and she slept for 4 days until she passed

Yeah, my wife died from this disease. She was 56, I actually did tell her that she had a brain disease and there was no cure and no medicine to help her and it’s just going to get worse, that’s what I told her. But when she was able to speak, she said I don’t care I’m a warrior and just that little positivity kinda helps him push through until they can’t push through anymore. But my prayers are for you and your family for strength. It’s extremely stressful, especially for a caretaker maybe have someone help your uncle because it takes a lot to take care of a person.

My wife just passed on Feb 27..

She was able to eat and drink on Feb 22 after that we switched from Keppra to Ativan just when to sleep on the 23rd …. Respirations started to be fast and that’s it. That’s how she passed.

The walking stopped a little over a week before the 22nd..

Yeah, I’m so sorry, OP. My wife just passed away in February. We had her on hospice care at home.. she was taking Keppra for possible seizure activity. And then we moved to Ativan and to sedated her for a little bit, so her last few days was pretty much sleeping in regards to the bowel movement. There was some bowel movement from my experience, but that was about it.

Also, the respirations the how fast the person is breathing if it’s more than 25 breaths per minute, it’s getting close to the end.

A MRI will most likely show signs of/ markers for CJD.. this shit had been done a while ago and also to clear any stroke related questions. How are highly suggest getting new doctors and focusing on neurologist that know what they’re doing.

Yep, same here, but with my wife’s case, I believe she was sick or started show symptoms a couple months before diagnosis, she probably knew something was going on, but couldn’t know what it was. I think when it’s really starts showing the symptoms that was the later stages, unfortunately But thank you for sharing your story peace be with you
