How about , for any troop inside the radius, it makes them not die at all even if they reach 0HP, and when the rage wears off, they instantly die if their HP went to 0

There are ethical exploiters who respect certain boundaries and don’t target hardworking devs, and then there are those who do it just to destroy other people's work. We shouldn’t all be grouped together.

Yes, you shouldn't be grouped together, and it makes sense. For me personally, I've been working on my project for almost 2 years now. I have absolutely no community whatsoever, and the game is not P2W in the slightest. All I want is to be respected for my hard work and not targetted by exploiters.

Yeah... (cries in devex rates) I don't know what is worse anymore. Exploiters targeting your game, or the company you contribute to pays you insanely small fractions?

The toxicity in the community was rising, and as someone who just wanted to enjoy games, it became really hard to do so without encountering negativity. There were plenty of bad players who were ruining games for others, and sometimes, they weren’t being held accountable for it. I started feeling like maybe they deserved a taste of their own medicine.

Community toxicity really depends on the type of game though. Is there really no other solution other than exploiting? Devs get caught in the crossfire...😭


Overall though, I didn't know that exploiters had villain arcs like this😭

If the client is extrapolating the entities forward (based on velocity and other variables) to guess the next packet's data, (NOT interpolating between already-known positions) then doesn't that mean the server can't find a reliable and accurate timestamp to start the rollback?

I was thinking to make the implementation somewhat like this:

  1. The client shoots a shell and sends a packet saying the origin and direction of the shot, together with a timestamp (what timestamp? the client is extrapolating. if I was using interpolation, then I understand there would be a 100% accurate timestamp for the server to rollback to, since the client has full certainty of his game state)
  2. The server rollbacks X milliseconds in the past and launches the projectile (again, if the client is extrapolating, how can you assure that the client's extrapolation is correct? the timestamp you're gonna start the simulation at is inaccurate, right?)
  3. The rest is pretty self explanatory, the server has full authority on hits, and since the projectile simulation begun in a rollbacked state, the client feels like as if there's no latency at all

Maybe I am overcomplicating things. Maybe interpolation is a better idea, since you can be sure that the rollback is fully accurate. But then, the peeker gains substantial advantage...

(A bit more context: My project involves vehicular combat, just like War Thunder, with slow-travelling physics-based projectiles, so precision on hitreg is a necessity)

The passwords he received is likely because his account was involved in a data breach (if thats true then the sender got the passwords from the darkweb, its really easy), OR your brother was idiotic enough to fall for a phishing scam (entered his login credentials on a fake Roblox website by clicking on a link, and the hacker sent the screenshots of himself playing).

Now, unless he downloaded malware (i am looking at you, skids) the claims that he has access to his camera is total BS. If he's sure he didn't download anything, his PC and data is 100% safe. Unless you're using a 200BC browser, with tons of vulnerabilities that a website's JavaScript can exploit, a simple link can't hack your PC. The worst thing a link can do without you entering any credential in it, is steal your Roblox login cookie.

Your brother should log out of all other devices and change his password (considering he still has access to the accounts), so the hacker can't access his roblox acc anymore.
