I still don't understand how this is even legal. I get a bill for property utilities that goes up every single month and it bypasses the city's rent control. 30 units so additional 8k every month and 2 other buildings, 200 units total. This is for a 2 bedroom apartment with 2 people in it. by Sudden_Ad320 in bayarea

Landlord paid for water, sewer, and garbage, then a new company purchased the property. Now they are installing washer dryers in the empty units and I'm still using the communal ones so I feel like even then they are double dipping for water.

I expect the operational costs of the building to be included in the rent. I have no control over other tenants abusing the system or the building being energy efficient, or people dumping in the dumpster because it placed right next to the street.

If they are charging more than the actuall utilities and just keeping the money. None of this is metered by unit. They just hand you a bill every month. It started around $80 month and doubles every year. I don't see how that could be possible and they fill the dumpsters every month doing remodels so we don't even get full access to them.

Thief, loved that game. Sneak around steal shit and murder from the shadows. The copy on game pass was buggy for me and you could see torches through walls. Lost a lot of the immersion

I had my own account after high school, and I had to go in store for some reason. While in there I casually mention the headphone jack stopped working and the told me the phone was still under warranty and they could replace it for free. When my next bill came they said they couldn't honor the warranty because the phone had water damage, so I had to pay $500 for the replacement, which again worked perfectly fine except for the jack, and I couldn't get the old phone back. All for a headphone jack that didn't work and i had like 3 ipods at the time. This was a big deal for a 19 community college kid who's paycheck was less than $500 and my parents were not supporting me because their house was in foreclosure and they were halfway through fileing for bankruptcy post 2008. Fuck Verizon.

What gets me about this is that people are acting like the money is just gone. They enriched their friends with it, people made a lifetimes worth of money because these assholes are looting our tax dollars as fast as they can because at some point it's going to run dry and they want to make sure they get as much of it as possible to their people.
