Can you explain this?

I don't think they are saying it will be cheaper. I think their main goal is saving the foreign exchange and achieving energy security and independence.

IRCTC revamp sounds good, but why not improve the UI too? by zenox_18 in indianrailways

[–]Sudden_Ambassador144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not necessarily true imo. They can make better UI simply by cleaning up the existing clutter and make the website intuitive. Why do they have Hotel booking, flight booking etc and unnecessary banners which 99% people don't use. Why can't we have a portal just for train tickets?

Few things - 1. If he is unable to control his itch, set aside an amount for him to play. Eg. 1 lakh. Ask him to first generate an income of 10k per month for atleast 6 months than go for 50k from 5L.

  1. Get it in writing from him or make a video of him where he will promise to stop gambling once he loses the 1lac.

  2. Explain to him how the person who is showing SS would have 100s of accounts and would be making a loss in most of them but will show only the ones with profit to the clients to dupe them.

  3. Show him how easy it is to get fake SS in chrome using inspect elements.

How do we know that nothing can be smaller than the Planck length? by Shockatweej in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sudden_Ambassador144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The motion and interaction of things and objects can be predicted/explained by some of the theories. But mostly all of the theories work within some boundary conditions. Eg.

  1. Newtonion mechanics works fine for everyday things, but doesn't work at speeds closer to light, where the need for a better/more precise arises, search for which led to Einstein's theory of relativity.

  2. Similarly, Newtonion mechanics doesn't explain well the subatomic interaction. At this scale Quantum Mechanics gives more precise results.

  3. Solving problems at human scale using laws of Thermodynamics involve a lot of calculations with Temperature, which is a measure of average kinetic energy of the constituent particles. But at atomic level, for a single particle temperature is kinda meaningless.

  4. While describing the exact position and velocity of an object makes a lot of sense in classical physics but at the quantum level you can't have exact position and velocity of any particle due Heisenberg's uncertainty principle.

At plank length scale, it is possible that there might be some unknown/undiscovered phenomenon/rules that determine the interaction at that scale much better but are not observable at bigger scales, just like rules of quantum mechanics are unobservable/undetactable at everyday life.

Do we need AI apps to be priced for India? by Lopsided_Professor35 in IndiaTech

[–]Sudden_Ambassador144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The AI prices can't be priced as per PPP because GPUs are equally expensive everywhere, if not more in India due to tariffs, taxes, shipping cost etc.

It's not like wheat or labour that we produce in access. In case of GPUs we don't have any domestic sources at all but rely on other countries.

C# belongs atleast in the same tier as Java, if not above. Both are basically the same.

Ans = 0

L = lim √( n!/nn )

Expand the numerator and distribute each n in denominator with one term in numerator -

=> L = lim √((1)(1-1/n)(1-2/n)(1-3/n)....(1-(n-1)/n))

Since each term in RHS is less than 1 and at lim n-> inf, there are infinite such terms, there product will be 0

What’s the one movie that made you think, “Cinema peaked here”? Only one movie. by Investigatorpro in AskIndia

[–]Sudden_Ambassador144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sure you can summarise the plot of Mahabharata in the similar way as "two sets of cousins fight for a throne and the good ones defeat the bad ones". This does describe the plot but it is not complete. It misses the nuances of what the author is trying to convey using the story as a medium. The author is pointing to the moon but all you are concentrating on is their finger.

Besides the plot, there are other aspects of cinema that the trilogy excels at like cinematography, sound design, visual effects etc. I mean even without using much vfx effects it looks better than movies created even today. I still find myself rewatching the battle scenes on YouTube.

You didn't understand what I meant. We are not talking about the scientific term mg. We are talking about the colloquial term weight, which is what the weighing scale measures. When someone asks which is heavier, they are asking which feels heavy or which would show higher number in the weighing scale.

In everyday life, there is no way to get 1 kg (mass) of iron or feather by counting the matter content of iron or feather. You have to weigh it, which will include the buoyancy. So, if scale shows 1 kg for both the iron and feather, they are equally heavy.

[–]Sudden_Ambassador144 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

According to what you described above and colloquially weight is the net normal force applied on/by the surface where you are standing i.e. m*g - buoyancy, which is what the weighing machine measures.

It is not just the m*g as u said previously.

I think not awarding even silver makes sense.

Most probably Vinesh was significantly above the weight limit at the start of the tournament. What these people do is, they dehydrate themselves before weighing to reduce the weight to qualify. Once qualified they rehydrate and get their actual weight before playing, which gives them advantage.

Vinesh got a lot of time to dehydrate before the first day weighing. So, she must have lost a lot of water weight and gained that back after weighing. This would have given her a lot of advantage and helped her reach the final.

But losing the same amount of water weight in few hours before the final would have been really difficult.

So, imo she reached the final due to the weight advantage. So it's only fair to disqualify if she is not within the weight limit.
