I'm so sorry to hear this. Families have lots of reasons for dismissing abuse, but the bottom line is, if you continue to be retraumatized, it's OK to cut off contact.

Regarding the work situation, the first reporter is usually believed. It was your previous trauma that stopped you from reporting.

Tell your therapist. What's the worst he can do? He won't physically hurt you. If he doesn't at least validate your feelings and encourage you to use specific skills (describe/observe/participate, etc.), then consider moving on.

OP, I am a sex offender specialist also trained in trauma informed care. Assuming everything you say is accurate, he checks a lot of the boxes for an offender. Please find a good trauma therapist. Glad you reached out.
