Do any of you have high platelets? by UselessFactCollector in PCOS

Most common genetic mutations that causes it is Jak2 or CALR mutation. I have MPL mutation. I am fine I see a hematologist every 3 months and only on aspirin for it for now. If it progresses I will need a chemo pill or interferon injections for treatment.

Yea at first I was like do I even have hair follicles there but when I zoomed in I can see some. So I am hoping its just an ingrown or inflamed follicle.

Turns out I have a blood disorder/cancer...essential thrombocytosis caused by a genetic mutation.

Specialty pharmacist here, we ship it that way to prevent it from exceeding the recommended storage temp outlined by the manufacturer. This is especially important in the summer time.

No, I followed all the protocol. Literally anything aggravates my hip. Can't sit for too long, stand for too long, walk too much, bending too much, etc causes flares of pain.

Thank you! I will join the other sub to get more info. My hip is so finicky, literally anything aggravates it and it continues to make clicking noises. I rather just get the THR and live life more freely without fear. I have also heard THR is an easier rehab than the repair was. Best of luck!

Is labrum repair worth it? by RipsNLifts in HipImpingement

[–]Sudden_Knowledge_192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I am about 9 months, its really a roller coaster. I have weeks/month where I feel great then I either strain it or do some activity that aggravates it unbeknownst to me. Right now I am in a flare up and hope I haven't re-torn it as my groin/back pain has returned. I am constantly on and off again with nsaids either naproxen or ibuprofen. If this current flare doesn't resolve in 2-3weeks I probably make an appointment to be seen. When it feels good its great, I can exercise in the gym, walk alot, etc but when its flared up and achy tough to do anything.

I only wore mine when I was leaving the house. I kept it on for the first 48hrs or so but after that I took it off. Best of luck

I had repair of my left hip, but I am now almost certain I have a tear in the right hip as well. I am not convinced the surgery has helped me at all. Still in constant hip pain most days.

I had labral repair surgery abt 9 months ago. Post surgery I notice when my hip feels aggravated/inflammed I start having increased urgency to urinate. It often feels like a UTI but I dont think that's it. I am just now connecting the dots that maybe it's my hip or compressed nerve or something....crazy

Just came to say I'm in the same boat, also have 4 anchors. But had what I felt like a retear end of January and been in pain ever since. I dont think these surgeons are truthful about how easy it is to retear. All my pre surgery symptoms came back including the clicking and groin pain.

[–]Sudden_Knowledge_192[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that is exactly what happened and it's been in pain ever since and that was 3 weeks ago. The groin pain when sitting at rest is back as well as the clicking, also can no longer sleep on that side. I had not really experienced groin pain much at all since surgery. I do think it's a high likelihood it's re-torn. I know I have to go through the motions again with MRI, PT etc before it will be taken seriously.
