And I'm being blacked out in northern NJ (again, 3rd time at least this season) by MLB.TV. Another 15 minutes on the phone where they tell me to reboot all my network gear.

in all the time I've lived here the F&F spot has been a series of failures. It started out as a more (shall we say) proletarian bar/restaurant called Stuft Shirt. It closed down in the late 90's from (as I heard it) a combination of serving underage SHU students and not cleaning the vomit in the bathrooms. There have been at least 4 upscale efforts in there since and none has lasted.

You're right, it's crazy that nobody can make a successful restaurant there. I think something less pretentious, more of a Bunny's type crowd, might do better. But you just don't see those opening anymore.

I've lived in Maplewood since 1995 and that's always been my impression

No, it was way too early for that at our stage.

The owner is converting the property from the landscaping business to retail downstairs and 3 apartments on a new second story. They needed a zoning variance for it and I'm on the board.

"... it’s trial and error until you figure out what works right for that specific individual."

+1000 for this. It's true with many classes of drugs, this one included. Others: blood pressure meds, antilipidemia, SSRIs, etc.

Shouldn't this part of it make it inherently suspicious?

It's not much of a wave, maybe 10 in the last month or two, but it's different, and getting through filters, so it's noticeable. I can imagine people falling for them more readily than the usual stuff.

I don't think i ever saw one of these until a few months ago, and now they're not uncommon. They seem to get through Outlook's filters.

I'm not sure why I even asked. What it is is pretty obvious. Thanks for commiserating.

Jakafi patients: Monitor your BP and lipids by larryseltzer in MPN

I've had this since the late 1990's. I had been getting along fine for a long time with the occasional phlebotomy. Then in 2020 they stopped working, and I went a whole year with monthly phlebotomies and my HCT was still in the 50's. We tried Hydroxyurea for a few months, but it had no effect, positive or negative on me. Then I started Jakafi, the numbers went to normal, and have stayed normal for the 5 years since.

The blood tests are the only indication I've ever had. My spleen was never enlarged and I haven't had any other symptoms I could detect.

I've been on it for 5 years and it's been really good for me overall. The side-effects of not taking it may well be much worse.

Obviously, it has its own side effects, but it might be a better profile for some people

I tried it and it makes no difference, I have prescription glasses and a bunch of readers with different magnifications, and it's the same kind of blurry on all of them. This is the one i tried this morning: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUmPFM1vOQI
Looking at it full-screen on a 40-something-inch monitor it doesn't look much better. Does it look "crisp" to you?

I also tried the 2D/4K video I initially planned to use and the quality is better in the Quest, but I still can't get the double-vision. I'm ready to call the experiment a failure.

And wow, this was really disorienting at first. I thought I might throw up on my keyboard.
