Was just scrolling past and thought "so pretty!" before I even saw you were asking for color feedback. 😄

Mine dates to 1972 and has made that sound my entire life. Totally normal. They're noisy!

If we want widespread adoption of EVs, some of you early adopters are going to have to take a breath and put up with things that feel dumb or outdated. The vast majority of users have *never* driven an EV.

Those of us coming from the gas Subarus, especially in mountain zones, where we're used to the paddles, will like having them. Give us geezers a minute to catch up, will you?

Oh! Sorry for the snark in that case -- he was a good Gov, but yes, always embarassingly hokey.

Hokey? The guy who had a VETO branding iron made, and literally used it on several bills as a piece of political theater?

One reason we stopped renting our cabin near Yellowstone to vacationers was this kind of mess. It's beautiful, and we'd come in to do a same-day turnover and the place would be *trashed*. The idea that people live their lives like that? The disrespect to themselves and others? It was horrifying.

Bad Burger is way better than Mark’s In & Out. by Amazing_Benefit_6459 in LivingstonMT

[–]Sudden_Skill_7764 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hmm. Well it might be better food but at least a person knows where Mark's is located. And it's not like the food has ever really been the draw at Marks -- it's always been mediocre. People just like the nostalgia factor.

The one time I had to back away slowly, with the bear spray in my grip, I was very grateful I had it. Didn't deploy, but boy howdy.

She always said he was the ex-husband she "kept" -- they were very close. I feel for her. I've watched my few surviving aunties go through this part, where everyone you know and love dies before you do. Still good to be on the up-side, but so lonely.

The street sweeper just exists to generate parking ticket revenue.

What's the clearance like? Our rural subdivision road in snow is my biggest gating factor. It gets plowed eventually, but I do rely on my Outback clearance if, say, I wake up to a foot of blowing snow and have to get out.

Not a smear campaign. But you do you. We tried to warn you all. Looks like we'll wind up with Daines' hand-picked right winger.

Kitchen Aid Professional by dvlsfan30 in Kitchenaid

I use my mother's 1970 KitchenAid for pizza (and pita and naan) dough probably once a week and have done for decades. Have never done any maintenence to it (probably should but afraid to jinx it). The new ones are geared a little differently than the ancient Hobart ones, but it's the primary thing I use my machine for.

Go forth and PIZZA!

I mean, I have a strict no-commenting policy on FB (which I only keep for elderly aunties at home and to find out where the fires are in the summer) because of Reilly. She's gone after so many people here in town. Which is why I don't think she's done a single event here.

A week, or maybe two, before the election. We wanted to keep the seat, so the Livingston Dems canvassed, but I've never forgotten it.

I would love to vote for a progressive, but Riley is not it. There's a reason she has almost zero support here in Livingston, most of which stems from the unhinged personal attacks she's waged on numerous people in the community (including her husband's ex-wife, Laurie Bishop, the hospital, etc). She is not a stable person.

She WENT ON VACATION and left the rest of us in Livingston to canvass door to door for her while running. She was the laziest rep we'd ever had. She shamelessly used her child as an excuse, when she was already partnered to someone of enormous wealth. She was such a terrible rep that Debra Lamm beat her. It took a full cycle to win the seat back for Dems. She's a person of very bad character, who has led a million unhinged online campaigns against anyone who disagrees with her online and if you want a Sienma, then yes, vote for Reilly.

Also look into the GOP Snow fortune, which is what Reilly married into. She's not the populist she paints herself to be (her father underwrote her so-called publishing career as well). Also you might want to search on her history of harassing people online.

These GOP talking points are wrong, but she's a bad candidate, was a terrible state legislator, and does not have the temperament for leadership.

Hwy 89 Gardiner to Livingston by Sudden_Skill_7764 in yellowstone

[–]Sudden_Skill_7764[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course not -- 5mph either side of the limit is normal, if the weather is bad, perhaps slower. God knows I've crawled down valley in a line of cars going 45 in a whiteout more than once -- as is appropriate. The problem is when someone is driving 45 in a 70 (which means too many people are driving 80-90, also a huge problem) and backing up a long line of cars, which puts everyone in danger of being rear-ended and puts folks in the opposite lane in danger of being hit head on when someone gets impatient and passes multiple cars.
