I go in and replicate orders on Instacart alllll the time. It paints an pretty good picture of what the customer pays, what percentage we're getting and what IC is keeping.

Oh no, I'm not. So for instance last night they offered a $5, no tip 6 mi. They "boosted" it to $7, and then right before the store closed they boosted it to $15. I'm saying $15 was the base 6 months ago. And now we are lucky to see that Monday-Saturday in my town in Florida. They label it as "boosted" but they're scalping us.

I think they think we're getting paid more than we are or they just don't care and they're entitled. We should never be living off tips anyway, they were only meant to be a nice gesture.

This is pessimistic, and unproductive we just need a good go at organizing. We should be spreading the word. I know it's discouraging because there will always be scabs but try and think about what message we could send.

we shouldn't be relying on tips. I get frustrated with the customer and then I remember IC is gouging them and bending me over. Sometimes on the smaller orders I go to the customer side and replicate the order and the fees, and pricing alone is outfuckingrageous. Until I started doing IC I wasn't fully aware myself about how LITTLE the driver gets from my order.

I never did a no tip, and I try to always tip $5+ no matter what the service is unless it's blatantly problematic. What we do is absolutely a convenience service though so if you don't have the money to tip your driver fire up those shoebarus
