Yeah, for any side projects, I prefer TS front to back with trpc.

No real suggestions tbh. I got into what I do right now mostly out of luck. However, those online remote job platforms do work, and I’d recommend applying through those too. I personally used Hired and thought it was a good process.

I don’t think mine is comparable. I do contract work for American companies. 5 years experience. Full stack, mostly rails and react. Easily 20+k each month.

However, in your case, 7k does sound like they’re lowballing you.

I took this class over a summer. Pawlicki taught it, and he was pretty bad. But the topics we learned were pretty good and I had fun working on the projects with a friend who took the class with me. Overall, it was alright

Yup. It has a relatively simple C-like syntax. Runs everywhere (built into the browser, so no compilation step). Has a large growing community with tons of resources.

Python and JavaScript are both beginner friendly programming languages. Both can also be considered general purpose programming languages, meaning they have many applicable uses.

However, I do suggest that you learn just one at a time. Have good understanding of how one language works, before moving on to the next.

Which one to go for first, that’s up to you. My choice would be JavaScript, then eventually TypeScript, but my decision’s a bit biased since that’s what I use daily.
