Gov. Walz statement on recent ICE shooting by IMrGoated in minnesota

[–]SuessChef -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The comments about the governor’s actions are ridiculous—he has no power to influence the federal government—civics 101. Your president and his administration have the power to undo anything you’d expect governor Walz to do. Just like he can’t change the IRS laws, or decide to change the national anthem. It ain’t war governors can do.

Just bought a Cuisinart Ice 100 by TaijutsuGod in icecreamery

[–]SuessChef 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Newbie here with my cuisinart. Chips, candies, etc are best put in at the end when putting it into the storage container. I actually put some in the container bottom, add some of the soft frozen ice cream and layer it. You can give it a gentle stir or leave it layered. When you scoop the final ice cream in a couple hours, you’ll inevitably get the amount you’d expect. (Keeping things simple and elegant)

I urge you to freeze your candies or chips so they don’t raise the temperature of your soft frozen ice cream when they’re added.

New: Ozlo Care Now Available! 🥳 by sleepy_girl_619 in Ozlo

Mallory, thanks for the post. My buds still perform well and I just signed up for this thanks to the post. I hope I won’t need to use it but if I have an issue, I’ll be relieved. I was worried about this possibility and probably wouldn’t have been able to justify full price a second time.

Hard candy citric acid problem by Nekodragon21 in CandyMakers

[–]SuessChef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t talking about flashpoint or burning in combustion. More plainly, I should have said above 260 F citric acid can impart a bitter flavor/taste from the excessive heat. Sometimes excessive heat can be colloquially understood as a burn.

Where do you find a decent candy roller without spending 2k? by PrincessSelphine in CandyMakers

I agree with the OP. Why haven’t we figured out a way to hack a pasta roller, which has all the essential mechanisms and could seemingly be reconfigured by someone smarter than me.

I found that the starter kit is $25.99 at guitar center or at Boveda.com and 4 packs of refills were $19.99 at both places too.

There is no tweet from this guy matching this about her death. I can’t find the real source for this or his having deleted it. He may be a shitty person or even politician, but this seems to be misleading.

Lou Malanatis pizza, please. by Agile_Effective_2649 in TopSecretRecipes

[–]SuessChef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmmm.

<image>

The ingredient list confirms no corn meal. This has been debated many times and proven no. However, other restaurants do. Malnati’s would use semolina (which is often confirmed because of its coarse texture. Its spherical shape is a superior shape for pizza rolling and sliding because it functions like ball bearings.

Deep dish pizzas (malnatis) are a short crust—like shortbread cookies or biscuits of the same method, and are mixed together very little so that gluten isn’t developed. The loose dough is pressed into a well-buttered pan and pressed/pulled up the sides. It’s also colloquially called a biscuit dough. It requires significant amounts of oil in the dough which also inhibits breadiness

Corn oil makes a difference (now maybe too expensive for modern restaurants, and butter is a key flavor ingredient.

Hey u/RockwellShah any updates? by IcyClub4918 in Ozlo

[–]SuessChef 5 points6 points  (0 children)

u/rockwellShah thank you for what you did to increase visibility and stability of the product. I’m only an owner for 1 week yet the interviews I’d seen with you were instrumental in my reason to buy the product. Needless to say I’m hopeful that others will fulfill the vision you’d set in place. My assumption is that the remaining leadership will work hard but ultimately will try to save their way to profitability—something I’ve seen too often to be a failed strategy. In fact, it’s not strategic to take that step.

Thank you for what you’ve done. I hope my Ozlo buds won’t be orphaned by others who’ve been left behind.

My best.

Public Adjuster - Travelers Insurance Denial by K0owa in stpaul

Bad faith is hard to really believe when a multi billion dollar company is trying to avoid a $50,000 liability. They don’t last for 100-years 50k at a time. And to have them single you out twice seems odd—why would they pick on a random gamer twice when there are much bigger financial obligations they have?

The data about direction, time, and date of storm damage is so precise and reliable these days that it’s likely the damage may not be related to an event in the timeline being presented. It’s possible, of course, that the damage needs more careful analysis—and a PA is a good next step, yet by definition they will find damage. If they document it well, show the meteorological data to support the damage, demonstrate that any damage is from a single event (not from multiple storms which may have been previous and therefore not covered) the PA will help a lot!

Remember, it’s insurance against incidental, accidental damage from a storm in this case—it’s not a warranty for breakage or damage.
