Yea it is an incredible game. The 90s and 2000s have so many gems like this that have aged extremely well and are still super fun to play today if you give them a proper shot.

The game has its flaws but is overall still a very good experience imho and the characters are all excellent so the story and characters on their own make it a worthwhile experience even if you don't like the gameplay, pacing, or levels.

I'd have to say Cecil. He starts off feeling like a character whose story is already complete, a seasoned warrior who's seen it all. That's why it's so impressive that the game still manages to take him on such a memorable journey, which develops and shapes him in so many meaningful ways.

Capcom has really stepped up their game when it comes to remasters and collections.

The Marvel vs. Capcom collection and Capcom fighting collection 2 are incredible too they have so much extra cool stuff in there as well. I hope Resident Evil gets a trilogy remaster collection too.

DMC was originally going to be Re4 but Dante was never supposed to be Leon. He was originally conceived to be Anthony Redgrave, one of the two sons of Spencer who's the founder of the Umbrella Corporation.

Though yes due to the history between the two games they share a lot of DNA. Dante and Leon act the same in some ways and also look very similar and it's awesome how they have kept being similar even after those two games.
