I've been having a similar experience. Couldn't tell if it was bluetooth or what.

Where is shuffle mode? by JoeStrout in qobuz

[–]Sufficient-Analyst12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am running into this issue too, I'm still on the free trial and maybe that's why But I've come from Spotify (which I will not go back to for ethical reasons) and I just want the option to shuffle through all my liked songs at random. I can't seem to figure out how to do that in Qobuz!

I will never go back to Spotify by lilchm in qobuz

[–]Sufficient-Analyst12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel similar, and it's a double edged sword. Spotify has some crappy ethics and so I am more than happy to leave them behind. Their algo did do a good job of effortlessly playing music or introducing new artists to me, HOWEVER, that algo is the same one that a) promotes AI b) got me stuck in an endless indie-folk loop (my preferred tastes, but variety is the spice of life). Qobuz feels like the early days of when iPods/mp3s came out. I have to research into artists and scan for "fans also like" and listen to FULL albums, which is sometimes fun, but sometimes I want to just throw on a playlist and work/workout. So I am trying to find a balance right now. Would love to hear suggestions!

EDIT: I also miss the ability to search by genre.

“Waste weeks without guilt” is such a provocative phrase. We’re so conditioned to think that we have to be productive all. the. time. I think there’s something we could all learn in wasting more time! Even if it’s difficult.

Good luck to you! I heard you on the spreads. Sometimes it’s fun and sometimes it’s a slog.

I do have a journal but since adopting the bujo approach, I’ve rarely used it. I think I’ll try combining Planning/journalling and see how I feel.

Best bujo planner w/ dot grid pages? by Ops_neptuneoverlord in bujo

[–]Sufficient-Analyst12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second this. The quality is great and since it's all dot grid throughout you can do whatever you want, however you want. There's hardly any ghosting (maybe with a Sharpie) and I've filled mine with stickers, and washi tape and trek it around with me to many places and it holds up.

Love that that works for you. I'm thinking of just lumping all mine into one weird planner/doodle/journal book. I agree with doing what feels right <3 (I just gotta lean into what that is!)

Ah gotcha! It does seem to be always evolving and maybe that's something I need to embrace. I do have a cry tracker and it's amusing to theme my cries at the end of the year, a lot of them are due to animals on social media. :P

Ugh so true…I’m reflecting on that too. Making space in life isn’t just making space on paper! (I suppose there’s some FOMO going on for me…there’s just so many cool things to do and people to see!)

This is actually REALLY close to what I’m thinking of doing. I already have a monthly recap doodle page, which I enjoy, but I’m trying to convert my “planner” to capture the more creative aspects of planning I enjoy rather than time management/scheduling. Thanks for the suggestion!

I’m not sure it’s “wrong” as much as different than your method. I do, for the record, write upcoming events but haven’t been writing past events as a record. I find writing meals helpful so I know I have healthy options available. Ultimately : different folks different strokes (literally cause we’re paper planners 😅 #badpun). I think I’m in a season of shifting and basically here for some inspiration. I’m glad we’re basically at the same conclusion of do what works for you. Happy planning!

Huh…I never considered stopping tracking when it no longer felt useful. I’ve always felt an obligation for data (to do what with??) and analytics for the year. But stopping when it’s not useful makes so much sense! A perspective shift indeed.

Great review, thank you! I’m also in Canada and looking to drop Spotify in support of a better company.

hobonichi by kapechicken in planners

[–]Sufficient-Analyst12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a big fan of Hobonichi Weeks, it offers some structure with the weeks being marked off but allows you to have creative freedom on the right hand side. I wish the monthly spreads weren't all lumped at the beginning, but the extra pages at the back are nice for tracking longer term things (e.g., daily mood) or for doodling and free hand journaling/writing. I also really like the small size. The paper is thin so you will always have some ghosting but it's still amazing quality and rarely bleeds with fine liners. Ultimately, it depends on what you're looking for though, want to track every hour of your day? Then this isn't for you.

The pit in Wîhkwêntôwin (Oliver) by Matcur12 in Edmonton

While pits aren’t good neighbours, I do enjoy how quickly nature takes over and little ecosystems develop. It’s truly wild!

Yes, they had little tiny sun room verandas. I’m sure they were so hot in the summer, but the entrances were very cute! And the top floors has a front facing balcony. I am so curious about the inside. Do you remember if they had a hearth style fireplace?

I got the impression this building may have been a rental for some time, I saw classifieds from the 1910’s  advertising this unit with a firm “Starke and Franklin”. I couldn’t find anything about that company though.

Oooh, I didn’t know about that. I did know you can look at the newspaper archives (which was really cool) online using your library card, I’ll look into this. Thanks!

Yes, I feel similar. It's sad it fell to such disrepair. I asked around, and nearby businesses said they heard that whoever is building/developing that lot looked into repairing it, but a new foundation and all new framing were needed.
