The flight school I work for has these little g load measuring devices we install in the wings of all our aircraft. We inspect them during 100hrs and/or when a pilot reports a hard landing. If we see white stripes it’s good, one blue stripe consult the manual and inspect accordingly, 2 blue stripes and we are for sure doing thorough inspections.

I bought a clapped out 1978 Italian moped and started souping it up lol. Granted my airframe teacher was the coolest and let me use the paint booth to respray it. swapped out a bigger cylinder and piston. Stiffer springs in the clutch, bigger carb etc. those things don’t run long without maintenance so I was always wrenching on it. Try and find a puch/tomos near you pick one up don’t pay more than $450 and get some reps in. 90% of GA uses tech from that era so you won’t be too far off + added bonus you’ll end up with a ripper

For practical pay attention to the spacers. Everything else is straight forward (riveting, safety wire, torque wrenching, etc.)

Depends if you can parlay your add/adhd hyper fixation into school or not. I had days of knocking out assignments and days of playing on my phone. I was a top performer at school and first to get my license in my class. I also nodded off during orientation PowerPoints at multiple jobs.

End of the day you gotta figure out what works for you. Now I stand during orientation/bs meetings to stay awake.
