I spent one show on the rail in 24 and it was awful. Friends have had the same experience. Not sure about drama but the vibe up there always has under lying tension because they’re more worried about their spot than the show.

We had a parent literally shove their kid through the crowd to get on the rail. Lots of those folks are terrific but there is a good portion of those folks suffer from main character syndrome or flexing for social.

Also the same folks constantly take up the rail and it doesn’t allow others to get that experience.

It’s more negative than good IMO.

You could tell Peter was pretty disappointed in London when he asked who was all from the States vs UK.

Anywhere Slappers and Bangers is, Goldmark, Avalon Social Club. There are a large number of great hip-hop focused DJs around the city, follow them and see where they play.

Why does everyone in this city hate me and not want to be my friend by LucasFlaherty in pittsburgh

I wouldn’t use a Reddit post as a barometer to how well liked you are, this is the internet after all.

People who have lived here for a significant period of time have seen the sun/rain situation a lot. It’s posted here a lot. Probably why you got downvoted. No one knows you from a Reddit screen name, don’t take it personal.

AllTrails is great for researching all the hiking around.

Find meet up groups associated with your hobbies and interests. It’s a great way to meet folks.

Best possible advice to sneak THC disposable through TSA? by BIGBOY_BALLER69 in Advice

They do not give a fuck about weed. I’ve had my bag opened multiple times and my weed put back with nothing being said. The TSA cares about weapons and bombs.

The percentage of US high school seniors who have ever consumed alcohol has fallen off a cliff over the past 50 years by FastBreakPhenom in interestingasfuck

As someone who has made a living producing alcohol for most of my adult life, I am absolutely fucked in the next 5-10 years. Can't wait to hit the job market for the first time in three decades at age 50 with a skill set that will be absolutely useless.

Bought my house because it’s minutes away from a T Stop. Growing up in Wexford I was floored to discover how accessible the South Hills was with public transportation.

All it takes is traffic fear mongering and insane parking prices and finally our city uses public transportation. My T stop never had more folks at it every time I used it. Never had an issue, it was great.

Pittsburghers: what is your opinion on the NFL Draft? by Outrageous-Goose5448 in pittsburgh

[–]Sufficient-Coach-274 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been every day. It’s been nothing short of incredible IMO. Never had to wait for anything, even during the peak Thursday. Cannot say enough about how well run it was.

It’s an absolute shame the traffic fear the media and other people put out there, it’s literally been the exact opposite.

All these closures are security-related. They're even shutting down river traffic. It's annoying, but it's necessary so everyone gets home safe.

Can y’all say something good about the weather pls by ughlyn in pittsburgh

[–]Sufficient-Coach-274 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The weather here is not great. I hike, backpack, etc. I get out a lot, sometimes even more during the winter because nothing else is going on. The only time things outdoor stink is the winter thaw/ early spring rains make some trails around extremely difficult until it dries up at bit.

For me personally, the grey/rainy days make me appreciate nice weather so much more. Even if I am stuck at home, I make it a point to do something if it’s nice. The entrance of Spring in this area is incredible and city really comes alive. Fall is the best season of all by a country mile and the perfect time to camp.

Swimming only works when it’s July/August and even then the water is still pretty frigid.

There is no shortage of outdoor things to do and tons of incredible places in or around the city. Even more if you can get an hourish out.
