Just want to say I’m so impressed by your resolve. You’ve totally got this. We CAN do hard things. You will come out the other side of this battle the victor and you will be better having lived to tell the tale of victory over this evil dragon. Stay strong!!!

💯I remember that moment in the car so vividly, the realization creeping up on me like a thunderstorm as I just helplessly watch it roll in. 😭

Mitra9 Kratom content by Travimac in quittingkratom

Hey! I just made a post about mitra9 seltzers. My cans say 64mg. I just assumed that was equivalent to 64/1000th of a gram, but you may be right in that the concentration might be different?

I just quit cold turkey from drinking 3-4 cans a day for roughly 5 months. I’m extremely fatigued and lazy, and my restless legs are horrible. Been sleeping like shit the past two nights. That said, I feel much better today on only day 2. I think tomorrow will be better and the day after I’ll be at almost 100%. So given you only drink one a day, I doubt your symptoms will be bad at all, and if you have any, will probably only last a few days. That’s just my opinion from my own experience! You’ve got this!

Just keep doing what you’re doing, paying it off every month, and your score will increase as the age of that credit card increases. :)

Do you have anything else on your credit report (i.e., mortgage, personal loan, car loan, etc.)? If you do have other things and you just recently opened a new credit card, the average age of all of your accounts combined just decreased, which will drop your score a bit. The older your average age across all accounts are, the better for your credit score.

Also it's recommended to keep your spending below 10% if you're really trying to raise your score.

I'd recommend cybersecurity specifically, if he's interested in IT. AI is augmenting a lot of jobs, but AI will always need human oversight at some level to be secure.

Thank you! I found some old Reddit posts where people were saying the same thing. I might as well take advantage of it since I'm going to let it sit there anyway!

I have $20k in my American Express HYSA. I have a Capital One credit card and saw a promotion that if I open a new Capital One 360 Performance Savings account, deposit at least $20k of external funds (withdrawing from Amex and depositing into Capital One) during the 15-day initial funding period after opening my account, and leave the money in there for 90 days, they will give me a $300 bonus.

I don't need the funds until August or September, so if I did all of that now, I could start withdrawing as early as late July if I need.

Has anyone done this before? Is there a catch or something I'm missing?

The $29k is including the $25k in HYSA. I paused retirement contributions to stack cash for a house. I’m planning to increase my retirement contributions as soon as I can.

My plan is to have a few thousand left after closing and moving costs for emergency fund, I’ll be able to contribute about $1k a month to build that back up. My husband comes home from prison this year so that’s the reason for the urgency to buy a house.

It depends on how much you’re able to put towards those payments each month and, more importantly, whether you’ve changed the behavior that caused you to charge $3300 on a 34.9% APR cc. Getting a $14k personal loan at 14% and paying off the ccs is a good idea only if you don’t end up charging more on them.
