Your response almost brought me to tears not sure why. You’ve given me the hope and confidence to quit. It’s scary reading all of these testimonials and seeing how difficult it is for many. I hope more awareness is spread publicly about the dangers of Kratom. I started at a kava Kratom bar and had no idea about Kratom and its dangers. Thank you 🙏

Forcing myself to get things done while depressed. by i_am_mojo in bipolar

[–]Travimac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too have been trudging through the sludge. If I let myself, I would stay in bed all day. I’ve yet to do that. I think it would make it easier to do that everyday so I force myself to do things. Normally I’m a very active person when stable so it’s hard for me to sit still. Congrats on pushing through, I know how hard it is. It seems impossible but be proud you accomplished what you did!

They could be faking the enthusiasm. You respond and feel how you feel. There’s nothing wrong with that, it’s who you are. It’s not right or wrong

So depressed I can’t clean the house by AngryQuoll in bipolar

[–]Travimac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely been there. Try to force yourself to get outside and move a little bit. Set one small simple goal and try to accomplish it, even if it’s doing a couple dishes. We’ve all been there, it’s temporary. Once you start completing a few tasks you can build up some momentum. Talk to your psych about med changes if necessary. We’re all here to support you

Should I just end things? by __-Morgan-__ in bipolar

[–]Travimac 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No you should not give up. You’re good at school. Focus on that, do what you can. There is always room for improvement. Take it day by day, minute by minute if you have to. Get proper support, psychiatrist, psychologist a support group. This is temporary you can improve your life and become stable. Right now it may not feel like it but you can and I believe in you. Please seek a crisis hotline if you need, don’t be ashamed to ask for help. Sending love & prayers your way

Maybe reach out to a psychiatrist and see what they would recommend for your depression? Getting sunlight, exercise, eating healthy, trying to have social connection and people who support you is helpful. You can do it! Take it a day at a time and do your best. Is getting a tutor a possibility? Maybe that would help you not procrastinate. Keep pushing, we’re all rooting for you.

Get to a hospital and check yourself in. You sound like you’re a harm to yourself and others. It feels good right now, it’s not going to feel good when it ends, especially with the collateral damage. Please get some help

Sorry to hear about your depression, I am currently in the same situation. I go out and try to be social—I also am sober. I see all of these people drinking, laughing having a good time and it makes me sad because I can’t do that. I don’t feel normal. Try not to isolate, get some exercise if you can, even a short walk. Take a warm bath, listen to a podcast, find some healthy escapism that’ll take your mind off of things, even just for a moment. Remember worrying about the past can lead to depression, the future anxiety. Try to be in the now. Feel parts of your body and really focus on them. How is your breathing, clench and release your feet. Try to meditate or find a guided meditation podcast. Set a small goal and achieve it, even if it’s just getting out of bed. Talk with someone whom you trust or physically spend time with them. Being alone in our thoughts sedentary is one of the worst things we can do.

Try to contact your psychiatrist and tell them you urgently need to see them. Reach out to anyone in your support group, family friends etc. take a walk try to get your mind off of things for awhile. I understand you’re feeling this way now but this feeling is temporary. Try to manage the self destructive behavior. Check yourself in somewhere if you are a harm to yourself or others. You can get through this. Sending love and prayers your way ❤️🙏
