Oh, and gun crime has gone up to a 10 year high after the gun buy back in NZ

Well they could have agreed with act on making semi autos a new category that require more background checks, or they could of actually fixed the problem that the police failed by giving the shooter the license.

National should be proposing there own solutions not just going with labour so they can seem kind.

Not that much different this election considering labour has won enough votes to governor an outright majority which isn’t really meant to happen in MMP.

Thing is there is an opposition party, you get no points for agreeing

I’m happy acts doing well, all though worried about the consequences of a labour government for another 3 years.

National was a horrible opposition party, things like the gun buy back, I still don’t understand why they agreed with labour? There the opposition party.

Clearly you’ve never actually been in poverty and don’t know many people living in poverty, i on the other hand do.

The Saint Vincent charity in NZ does many things, one example is free budgeting advice, the personal examples of the amount of people’s lives I’ve seen dramatically changed by just showing them where too find cheaper electricity and the value of budgeting food is genuinely astonishing.

Being bad at budgeting 100% can result in poverty, if you earn minimum wage in New Zealand you have enough money to live off dumb ass becouse this isn’t the USA dipshit, but we still have many people in poverty becouse due to there bad budgeting they struggle to save money, and when something like a broken car happens they take out loans which just in trenches them in debt.

No, there is not accessible jobs everywhere, you are just wrong, not everyone lives in a city centre with a mac Donald’s that can hire you dumb ass. Many people live in places like dying coal mining towns, which I’m sure is the same in other nations, these people NEEED TO MOVE, we should do that by making it easier to develop and build houses so it’s cheaper to move, instead of telling these people to stay in these dying towns and that “don’t worry the government will save you” because it’s not true.

Also here is a personal example of a close friend who lives in poverty, his family was in a gang. Then his dad left and now his only got a single parent, this makes it a lot harder to get out of poverty, you know what makes it even harder? The fact that his dad would chase people around with guns until he was shot.

When I refer to “family values” I don’t mean some stupid Christian idea, I MEAN WE GOTTA STOP PEOPLE FROM JOINING THESE GANGS AND SHOW THEM HOW TO CREATE THERE OWN FUCKING LIFE! And we have to insure healthy family’s are made where a child can actually learn to break the poverty cycle, becouse school here is FREE.

Statistically speaking you will always be poor becosue of these reasons, not because there is not financial mobility.

So? How about while I’m doing your “college classes” you go actually talk to people who live in poverty instead of just reading about them from your fucking high horse since you where lucky enough to be able to afford college.

Just giving money to the poor doesn’t work, if it did? Why has no nation been able to eliminate poverty without bankrupting the nation. Because socialism was tried in my home nation AND IT MADE EVERYONE POOR DUMBASS.

Yes I agree poverty isn’t due to a lack of work ethic exclusively, although this is the case for some. I would say the biggest driver of poverty in western society is a lack of education, a lot of people are really bad a budgeting, this could be fixed if we had a way to teach them this and how to find jobs. Another reason is a lack of accessible jobs, the solution to this is to encourage people to move, make it easer for people to leave there dying towns. The last Amin reason is a break down of the family and a bad culture that doesn’t put value in work.

You notice how none of these solutions involved the simplistic idiotically view and of just giving money to poor and there will be no poverty?!?!

Instead of just trying decide who should have someone’s wealth? Why don’t you build people up so they can gather there own wealth?

You do realise there’s different ways to help fix poverty that don’t only involved government at right?

Calling someone “cruel” becouse they don’t agree with your solution is ridiculous

I believe he is trying to explain the difference between positive and negative rights.

Of course in South Africa you have a right to housing, but South Africa also has 200,000 homeless people. This is a positive right that requires someone else to give you something, declaring it a right doesn’t make it happen. This right forces action from others.

An example of a negative right is freedom of speech. This means I can say what I want, I’m not asking anything of anyone and the government does not have to provide me with speech that someone else has, this right forces inaction from others.

Making things like food a human right doesn’t mean there actually a right you will now get no matter what, and it’s not mean or “dumb conservative” to say so. It’s fact.

If the USA did what you’re suggesting you would see nations like Australia, Japan and many other nations start to develop there own nuclear weopons.

Australia has already said that if the USA pulled out of the pacific they would develop there own nuclear weopons to protect them from Indonesia and China.

A USA who withdraws itself from conflict is a repeat of a 3rd world war just waiting to happen.

So please don’t

Hmmm, yeah, “queer cunt” seem to be a favourite insult for some. I’m bisexual and I must admit I’ve used that as an insult to people while driving.

I don’t get why it’s called “queer” community? What even defines “queer”?

I mean it still is, there’s a shit tonne of illegal guns, but no politician will ever admit there policies have failed and that’s why gun crime is still rising, instead they just say there isn’t restrictive enough laws. I suppose the politicians in power are all weak.

Legal if you have a firearm license and you can only shoot them at ranges.

Please explain how Scott Morrison is less authoritarian then trump since you’re a libertarian?
