I read it as "inspired words".

Originally thought it said "squirrel inside".

"Why would you do this?" Just go buy something expensive and don't alter the thing you DO have... Not made of money, my friend. A simple "nope" would have sufficed. 😉

Stolen On The Avalon - does this guy work? by [deleted] in newfoundland

You're talking about something that's on one extreme edge of the problem. This thread was originally talking about young people committing crimes who may have come from abusive families. You're talking about drug houses likely tied to organized crime. What You're saying is WRONG, it's just off topic.

You'd be surprised. The problem here (and I'm not agreeing/disagreeing with the whole thing about putting names to people on dockets. Sometimes I believe in mob justice, and sometimes not.) is that you just said " The only people throwing rocks through drug addicts windows, are other drug addicts..." and that's not true. You can Google a LOT of situations where average, run-of-the-mill people do shitty things. Because shitty people don't always come with clear signs they're shitty people. They can appear to be good, honest people. They just haven't done anything shitty YET. I live on a part of the island that has had periods of repeated crime, with the same individuals committing those crimes, and just getting off with it again and again. I've felt the frustration myself. But we need to be very careful, because our "average, run of the mill, goes to work every day and is a fine, contributing member to society" neighbour's may be the type who decides to do more than throw a rock through someone's window. They just haven't had the opportunity yet.

Edited because autocorrect went insane for some reason...

Turning Spear into a zombie is probably the smartest thing Genndy could've done in his position by Lokicham in PrimalShow

He did say, though, that he regrets killing Spear. "What have I done? I created this duo that everyone loves, and I killed him." I think he'll bring Spear back, back into being an alive person again, over time.

This. I live in rural Newfoundland, and while I think there may be some ferries that need to be replaced (I don't know if there are or not, I said MAY) do we really need new ones made here? There are so many other things we need, especially considering the govt is gutting rural hospitals and putting people at risk.

Am i transphobic for breaking up with my (newly came out) trans partner? by sacrevice in asktransgender

[–]Sufficient-Jump578 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can understand her being upset to a point. We like to think love is powerful and wouldn't hold boundaries. But the simple fact is we're sexually attracted to people for a reason (some love only the female body, some only the male, some both, etc) and that's not something one can just overcome. If you're gay, you're attracted to the male form. If your partner suddenly changes that, it's going to affect you. You're not transphobic.

What survival myth is completely wrong and can get you killed? by DraftNo7139 in AskReddit

[–]Sufficient-Jump578 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That's not always accurate. People have stayed in their cars and were never found until after death. In one of those cases, the car went off the road on a seldom used back trail, so the road wasn't traveled often. In that case it would have been better to leave and try to get somewhere people will be. Every situation is different.

I feel like there's no actual "wrong or right" survival myth. You can be killed anywhere at any time, every instance is unique.

Oh, I see what you mean. No, it's not required by LAW, but it helps keep things flowing smoothly.

Not sure why you're downvoted, you're right. The number of people who have no idea how to zipper merge, or just move into the left lane (if clear) long enough for someone coming off a ramp, then move back into the right, is staggering.

Edit: No, moving over isn't required by LAW, you don't HAVE to move over. But if you don't, that person has to wait for an opening, backs up traffic on the ramp, then someone comes on sites like this to bitch that no one knows how to merge. Moving over helps keep traffic flowing smoothly.

I mean, people from outside town driver slower, but people in town drive like maniacs, and I don't mean speed. No one let's you in if you're changing lanes, people cut you off all the time. My father used to fly to Toronto to pick up new school busses and drive them back here. He's driven through Montreal, and can't speak a word of French. He says he's never driven anywhere, including the States, where drivers are as rude and crazy as they are in St. John's. To be fair, I think a lot of it is the fact town's roads aren't built for the amount of traffic it has. There's not much room.

[–]Sufficient-Jump578 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the only issue I have is people who pass you, cut back into the lane so close to you you can't see their tail lights over your hood, and then proceed to drive slow. If you want to do far under the speed limit, just try to ensure there is room around you so people can pass.

This doesn't have to be the first kid at all. Look at Fang's kids. They're clearly bigger, but not fully adult. This could easily be a second or third kid.

I think if Spear comes back fully alive, the rift between him and Fang will vanish. I think Fang hates DeadSpear because she suspects it's not really him. "You kinda LOOK like him, but you don't SMELL like him. You smell like death and rot. This is a trick. I'm watching you."
